The hot chocolate was one of the best I have ever had. A lot of choices for food, though they felt a bit expensive. Nice quiet atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Forever my favourite spot in Nottingham! They know how to make the perfect cuppa, choice of teas unique to them. The food is always too quality.
Had one experience of my food order being forgotten but the staff were on it before I even realised and offered me another tea and can’t drop any rating for this as they handled it better then anywhere else
Great coffee and amazing food. I ordered a flat white and Full English Breakfast. The coffee tasted fantastic. The food was cooked to perfection, my bacon was sweet and smoky and sausage flavoursome. This is not a breakfast from tins, it's crafted and definitely worth trying! Also, the portion is rather huge!
Great coffee choice. The food is a bit on the pricey side. I wish they had more cake options.
Sunday morning, got a spot quickly, order came less than 10 mins later.
The table service is a big plus in the UK.
Beautifully cooked eggs, all components came together for delicious bites.
The flat white actually stands out in taste vs the usual chain coffee, so one of the few occasions that claiming to be speciality coffee place makes sense.
Also offering quite a few veggie options, which I'm not particularly excited for but other people would be.
Worth a visit.
I've bought Cartwheel Coffee intermittently online and it's always fantastic, but was great to come to the cafe.
Breakfast was good, the coffee was obviously great, but do not miss out on the clarified coffee sours (cocktails), they are absolutely unbelievable.
**Update**
Still a great choice for coffee and food in the city of Nottingham. Went for the barista recommendation of the Sausage Focaccia and a Flat White. Both delicious and the food was very filling. Still recommend a visit 😁👍
A popular cafe in Nottingham that also roasts their own coffee. Well worth a visit if you're in town. The coffee is delicious and as a general rule they have a great range of cakes and sandwiches among other foods.
First time visiting and did not disappoint. A hidden gem!!
We came for coffee and breakfast , great service and a wide range of different coffee flavours! Will definitely be ordering some online. If I am ever back in Nottingham I will be visiting again. Thank you!
Best of the best in Nottingham, breakfast / coffee is nice here.
The french toast is nice considering that there is a scarcity of that dish in Nottingham, however, it could be better ( imitating the french toast from Federal in Manchester would make this place so crowded, and I dont think imitating that dish is difficult, easy for such a good coffee chain like Cartwheel
Pleasant cafe with great and delicious food! We had an English breakfast and French toast. The French toast was a bit too much jam for us (which was also squeaky sweet), but that's a matter of taste. The price was also perfectly reasonable. We recommend it!
Buff! The breakfast here was one of the best we've had, such a great cafe. You can tell a lot of care and thought into the ingredient used, the types of coffee and even the way they used the space. We sat next to where the coffee's were being made and it was so great to see their methods of making great coffee. Both of the vegan breakfast were greatly enjoyed! The home made dishes such as the relishes and tofu scramble, vegan butter etc were so clever! I am totally sold, and for sure we'll be back.
A cosy and modish cafe with a variety of brew options. I have been there a few times for both coffee and brunch. And my experiences had been very satisfying and unforgettable. The staff are very polite and talented. It’s truly worth a visit.
Great food - ordered the smoked salmon and egg on the bread. The bread was dense and a little dry but very good quality.
Can I give 6 stars? This is such a charming place. The staff have unbridled passion and knowledge when it comes to coffee and food, and the customer service is exceptional. Amongst the most polite serving staff you will ever meet. The smoked salmon and eggs that I had were so good I would describe them as life-changing. If you want to explore your coffee palate and unlock the deeper complexities of the brew, then this is your kind of place.
Popped in here for breakfast and had the mushrooms and poached eggs on toast which was lovely. I enjoyed my coffee but my partner wasn't a fan of his. The only negatives for me are that the shop is very small so can feel quite cramped and it's fairly pricey at around £20 for 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees (given the portion/coffee sizes).
Popped in for coffee, saw the menu and decided to back the next day for breakfast. It did not disappoint, the food was freshly prepared and tasted great. Three empty plates say it all really. My daughters were both impressed with the range of coffee too. Well worth waiting 10 minutes for a table. Would happily have waited longer. It's quite a small place but appears to be busy all the time, which is what you want to see.
In-house roasted coffee, oat milk latte is extremely smooth and light. Welcoming interior, though limited seating so beware busy times.
The vegan lunch special was excellent - rustic selection of roasted veg chick peas and potatoes with hummus and pesto. Thoroughly enjoyable and the perfect size. Would like to see more vegan and veggie options but apart from that very recommended.
Really tasty!
The best carrot cake I ever had. Everything is perfect... brew bar, service is perfect, professional staff! Quality of the coffees and the food is great so obviously that's why the price is higher. Go eat/drink somewhere else if you want cheaper option. But if you want to feel good and really taste what you put in your mouth.. give it a try and enjoy deliciousness! I wish I could live closer to this place or sth similar. As I've already visited more than 50 specialty coffee shops this one has its place in top 5 because of the same high level coffee and the food!
