In Nottingham you are spoilt for choice on good Indian restaurants, Cumin is no exception. Good food and nice and friendly service. The wine list is excellent and they even offer non alcoholic Indian beer. A good choice if you on that end of the city centre.

After reading the two dividing comments on here i was a little apprehensive, but i needn't have been. The service, food and ambiance was excellent. I've given this restaurant five stars as i honestly couldn't fault it. (i even asked if we (just two of us) could be seated side by side and this was no trouble) Cumin has succeeded in becoming THE Indian restaurant in Nottingham in my opinion.

I have been traveling to Nottingham for many years, Cumin is my favorite restaurant. The staff is always friendly and the service is excellent. I went again the other night and my wife and I had an excellent meal. I have tried many of the starters as well as the mains. One of my favorite starters is the Haryali Chicken Tikka. One of my favorite mains is the Lamb Rogan Josh. I also like the keema naan. They have seating upstairs that provides additional room as it does get busy. I cannot wait till I am able to go back again!

Very nice upscale Indian. Service was excellent and the food is very good. The menu could use a few more Mains, but other than that I highly recommend.

A lovely small Indian restaurant, with extra seating upstairs. Brilliant service, the staff went out of their way to ensure all our needs were met and there were no long waits between ordering & food arriving and between starters & mains even though we were a table of 7. The only reason it doesn't get the full 5 stars is because I felt the menu was a little limited and a lot of the dishes looked very similar. I am sure, however, had I requested something specific the kitchen would have produced it for me. Definitely a restaurant to try out in Nottingham, although I would recommend booking to avoid disappointment.

Earlier poster has clearly not been here lately. A business peer recommended this place and I'm glad she did. Ask the chef what to order. He chose a lamb dish for me. Fantastic. Great service and delicious wine. Would come back if I make it back to Nottingham.

Overall experience was simply fantastic. Because of obvious reasons, friendly service, unique tasty food! Everything went well from the time we came in till the end when we promised to come back, and I simply can't wait to! I guess, the highlight was the fact that the explained everything. Would surely recommend!

The Cumin is my favourite restaurant in Nottingham, and I love the food that they do, it tastes amazing! The lunchtime menu is also great! There is plenty of options to choose from, and you can always look at the menu online if you're not sure there would be something there for you. I would knock a star off because the food has been a bit slow on a couple of occassions, but the atmosphere is lovely and relaxing and when I got the food it tasted so good it was worth the wait!

One of the best Indian restaurants in town. The food is delicious and always freshly prepared. There's a good vegetarian range and a good selection of wine and beers. The decor is elegant and in keeping with Cumin's challenge to the upmarket Indian dining offered by its competitors (Mem Saab and others) on Maid Marian Way. However, Cumin has the edge though in relaxed dining. The service is fantastic and the staff and owners are friendly and helpful. How Sunny remembers everyone (and what they ordered on the previous visit) is beyond me.

Cumin is an absolute gem. The modern exterior leads to a classy interior with a small downstairs restaurant area and further seating upstairs. The welcome was wonderful and felt very inviting. The authentic menu offers something for everyone including an extensive vegetarian offering. I personally always judge an Indian restaurant by two dishes, their tikka starter and their chicken madras main. Both were excellent and in my personal opinion one of the best madras curries I have ever eaten. I would highly recommend if you find yourself looking for an amazing and value for money curry in Nottingham.

We visited Cumin without a prior booking, expecting it to be quiet as it was midweek. The downstairs dining area was already full, with us taking the last table…a testament to how popular this place is. The food and service were first rate, with the staff eager to advise us about the dishes they served. We would definitely visit again if we are in Nottingham, thanks for looking after us so well.

Had a beautifully cooked meal at Cumin yesterday evening, with 2 friends. We each had a different dish from the menu, and all thought the food, presentation and service excellent. Highly recommend this place and it’s owners - who go out of their way to provide a warm welcome and good old fashioned customer service.

Such a fantastic restaurant. The food tastes fresh & delicious and the staff are so kind. I have a tomato intolerance and they made a main dish specially for me without it and were very careful in showing me which starters were OK. Perfection!

It was a quiet Tuesday, but this place is lovely Solo dining and the restaurant was just near my hotel and had a vegan menu so the perfect choice. Indian food is by its nature often vegetarian, but it’s good to see a restaurant offering a full vegan menu Okra fries and dip for starter Tava Aloo Raviya for main with chips and chapatis The bill came to around £26 including a service charge, which is great value Good choice and would eat here again if on the

I went here on valentine's day with my girlfriend and we were greeted with friendly service and lots of care and attention. The food was amazing, in particular the chicken korma and the chicken jalfreezi. We never felt rushed into making a decision which is particularly refreshing on such a busy evening. The cocktails were also very nice with the mojito being our highlight.
