This is a really great place for a quick snack, coffee, or local beer. I had the sausage roll, which was marvelous. My friend had the lemon cake, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I also bought some local sausage and salami, and some olives; all were wonderful. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
What a find! Wonderful place selling local produce. Excellent wines, beers, cheeses, pies, breads, cakes etc. had a glorious smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel. Lovely relaxing space, especially at the back. In the summer heat it is a wonderful place to unwind, almost like a Spanish tapas bar. The owner, Alan, is a friendly and amusing, and he has delightful young staff who are attentive and knowledgeable. Cannot fault the place. Deserves 5 stars on all counts, especially for introducing me to the truly incredible St Giles gin. The navy strength stuff is a winner. Interesting selection of punters too. My only “gripe” was that it is not open longer hours, but I can see that later closing might attract a boozier clientele, although I scored pretty highly in that department. 🤣. Get yourself over to this great little place in the tranquil corner of Upper St Giles. [Alan is the cheque in the post?? I am joking. When I like a place I am very happy to plug it. And this place is a gem.]
Very polite and welcoming staff. Loved their Americano and cakes. They have variety of flavors.
Hidden gem must visit! I love this place. The owner and folks working here are always so friendly and helpful. Delicious local food beautifully presented. A beautiful combination of cafe and local grocery store. Try the meat & cheese board, and the bagels.
Visited a friend who lives in Norwich, mooched around the town and popped into this shop. The man who greeted me was amazing and very funny. Had a good old chat, bought some sausage rolls to take back to Kent and share with the girls at work omg they were amazing. The personal service goes such a long way and really enjoyed my visit to this shop, put a smile on my face. Thanks so much. :)
Had a lovely coffee and generous slice of cake in here after wandering around Norwich. The cake was delicious, the atmosphere very welcoming and relaxing and the owners really friendly. A real gem of a place which, now I’ve discovered it, I will definitely be coming back to.
Whilst out walking around part of the city I once lived and worked in I discovered this lovely independent shop with coffee shop. The delightful staff made me feel welcomed and soon my wonderful coffee and pastry was served. The setting in relaxing without noisy background music and the lighting is quirky. Definitely coming back here, and must explore the fabulous range of locally sourced products too.
I first went into St Giles pantry some months ago while my wife was looking in a nearby furniture shop.
Standing outside looking in at the wonderfully evocative array of cakes and pastries, the owner came out to chat.
Neither pushy or overly solicitous, we had a brief chat and I decided to go in and try one of their pork pies.
I've been hooked ever since - not on the pork pies, which are wonderful, but on the general atmosphere of bonhomie, which I thought had long disappeared from modern life.
Go in, say hello, and be prepared to be transported back to a time when people had time for each other.
You'll be glad you did.
Lovely place! We stopped by for a quick coffee and had a pleasant experience. The flat white was delicious and so was the chocolate cake! The pantry also sells fruit, jams, oils, gin and the list goes on…Everything about it was great and the owners are extremely friendly! Loved it!
What an absolutely lovely shop. I was looking to buy locally produced products to support independent businesses and I found exactly that. A wonderfully decorated shop and very personable and polite owner. I bought a multitude of local goodies (couldn’t help but go overboard) but the star of the show was the carrot cake, which was the best I’ve ever eaten. Such a shame I was unable to return for a second time.
Lovely staff and really nice atmosphere. Delicious cakes and sweet things to choose from. A nice place to sit and people watch.
A splendid independent cafe/pantry. Very welcoming staff, with a good choice of quality food and a great place for a strong coffee.
That’s such a lovely shop. You’re able to drink some tea and to have some cake or sausage rolls, pork pies etc. otherwise you can buy local products from Norfolk and surrounding area like cheese, jam, juice, eggs and they have like high quality dog crackers. The girl I met there was lovely and we had a long chat. Staff is in general so friendly and the shop is so cosy, lovely.
Found this little gem whilst wandering around the city. Absolutely fantastic, really welcoming and friendly team, coffee was awesome, definitely going to be going on a regular basis.

Very quaint and welcoming shop. The GTs were very good too. The owner was very friendly and happy to give us some tips on good independent places to eat whilst in town. Definitely authentic.
My first time in Norwich and I had an wonderful experience visiting St Giles Pantry! Super cozy place and such a lovely atmosphere. I would recommend anyone to go in and sit down for a drink. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and nice, they made my experience fabulous. I had a flavoured gin and tonic 🍸 based on their recommendation and it did not disappoint! I couldn't leave without a Norfolk breakfast tea and handmade cookies which are absolutely delicious. 👌 thank you 😊
Never been to Norwich before but one of the best little cafes me and my partner have ever walked into on a whim.
Super cozy, welcoming staff and such an quiet atmosphere.
The coffee and cakes were amazing and flavor filled, I would recommend anyone to go in and sit down for a drink.
One word: fabulous !!
The coffee is first rate and served in Bodum glasses.
The food: superb. Truly it is. Had a wonderful, vegan arancini here that left me truly sated. Delicious.
Then, as my eyes are definitely bigger than my stomach, the carrot cake was too tempting. Real taste that cannot be duplicated in factory made products. Moist, moreish to the point of feeling truly obese and absolutely perfect.
Finally, but not least, the staff are an absolute delight.
I love St Giles Pantry.
An absolute deli-delight, a miniature Aladdin's cave. Lovely cakes and staff and friendly clientele.
