A very nice country pub indeed. A little out of the way but a gem nonetheless. Lots of outside space but a little too hot as not too much shade at the moment. Just had lunch but no Sunday roast menu as yet. Relatively new owners so lots planned for the future. Look forward to revisiting soon!

I had a family meal in a relaxed country pub atmosphere. The staff were courteous and friendly and other customers in the bar were friendly and welcoming. Worth a visit. Lasagne was the best I have experienced in a long time. Well done.

Here comes a big secret... if you part with around five of his Majesty's pounds, the serving wenches will give you a full glass of happiness... this will keep happening until you fall down or happiness ends.

Excellent pub! So friendly and welcoming. It is dog friendly, they have darts and pool. They do not serve food however they have a food truck there on a weekend and welcome you to eat in the pub in the warmth. 100% recommend

I am not a mad pub goer but in all the pubs i have visited in the UK this is my favorite. I last visited this pub 5 years ago before the present owner took over. Though i am from Birmingham i thought of this as my local. I visit Norfolk regularly and used to visit in my camper van and park on the field and would often spend days there. The atmosphere was always friendly and welcoming and my regular visits saw me on first name terms with most of the locals who had some surprising backgrounds. Real characters who i would speak about when returning to the big second city. they sold excellent beer and of course my favorite Aspalls cider which still is my most favorite drink of all. I was lucky that the camper van was only a few yards away. This is a proper pub with a warm friendly welcome that is not easily forgotten in these days when service is often done without any eye contact at all. If the present owner has maintained the atmosphere which I,m sure they have this place is a must. Set in a lovely village surrounded by the beautiful Norfolk countryside you wont be dissapointed.
