When you have three Chinese takeaways next door to each other it says something. Not sure what, other than this town likes Chinese food?
Anyway having tried all three May Sum has to be the best value for money.
Food tastes great. Was freshly cooked and the staff were really friendly. Even came with the obligatory free prawn crackers and three fortune cookies.
Food is always 10/10 always fresh and tastes so good can't fault the service either best Chinese around will always come back to may sum for our Chinese
Great service and food! highly recommend! I had salt and pepper ribs with egg fried rice and it was great!
We had menu item A2, plenty of good grub for two would easily stretch to 3 maybe 4. Only downside long waiting time but if you phone on your order much shorter. Will enjoy another of their meals next time we are here.
Popped in for a takeaway, friendly staff behind the counter. Meal was lovely, and hot ,even after walk to boatyard . Would recommend 👌
We're staying near Stalham on holiday. We walked through Stalham last night, looking for a takeaway. Okay the outside isn't up to much, but the staff welcome was spot-on and a sign of things to come. We ordered and then waited. The food was fresh and hot, and really good. No grease or oil, lots of flavour and texture. Would happily order again, if/when we're back in the area.
PERFECT FOOD!
Literally come to sea palling just out of stalham regularly. Fancied a cheeky Chinese for tea found this little gem of a takeaway. Doesn't look much from the outside but my gosh the food is "chefs kiss" so full of flavour and fantastic value for money!
Will definitely be a regular feature to our holidays 😉.

A delivery service is almost a given these days - it benefits Customers and would positively influence Customer’s choice of Restaurant if offered.

One of our favourite Chinese takeaway meals ever!
On a weekend break in Stalham, my wife and I decided to order a takeaway one evening. There was quite a choice as there are 3 Chinese takeaway restaurants (nearly) next to each other on Stalham High Street. We looked at various reviews and decided to order here as they offered some favourite dishes the others didn't (crispy chilli beef and Szechuan prawns), despite some not-so-great reviews - mainly related to portion size and waiting time.
I cannot understand these poor reviews, as our experience was outstanding!
We arrived at the shop on Sunday evening around 6.30pm. From placing the order, the takeaway was handed to us in about 10 minutes.
We were back at our rented chalet within another 5 or so minutes and the food was still lovely and hot and absolutely full of flavour. The portions were huge, especially the egg fried rice and Singapore chow mein! We both ate our fill and there was enough left for a light meal each for the following evening.
I would recommend giving the May Sum a try. We will definitely be back when we return to Stalham.
Great little takeaway, food was great
I had a Chinese from here with my family. My king prawn with water chestnuts and bamboo was very nice and my dad's king prawn chop suey was one of the best he had ever tasted. However my sister's chicken curry was not nice. Thick sauce that tasted like a mixture of five spice and flour. Apart from that everything was extremely nice. Would return in the future.
This place has improved and is now better than before. The reason is things move on to change so I hope everybody would give this a try if you think about it it's hard to make an restaurant 5 ratings so that's why people try harder along the way of making an successful place if any place is terrible to you think about how well it will improve in the future but that is only possible if you give it a chance so that it could be what you want it to be. If this review is helpful to you then I advise you to rate this place 2 or higher. If you miss the old may sum or any place then as I keep saying things move on and you should enjoy what surprises life will bring to you.

We had a very generous A2 menu and would have again. But make sure you order an hour or so on advance
