This is a locals pub, there are no bells or whistles, it's what it is and it does it well. I go there mainly to watch football. Prices are a little lower than average, they really don't do food, apart from the odd roll and packet based snacks. But sometimes you don't need a place providing gastro pub cuisine or the latest cocktails. This is a pub, not a bar, with great staff and atmosphere. Nuff said.

The perfect local. Always a warm welcome & lovely atmosphere for the footie, rugby and sports in general. Lovely cheese & onion/ cheese & pickle rolls! Thank you.

Lovely place to watch the football. Doesn't mess around to much with food, just serves nice beer at reasonable prices. Limits children access after certain hours which is nice if that's what your after. Puts on interesting live music shows. Toilets are a bit shocking but in the grand scheme you can live with it.

Very friendly staff, lots of outdoor and indoor seating. Couple of oversized TVs hanging around, so get the impression this place could become a rough (IMO) venue at times… All in all a really nice place to stop in.

Nice, friendly, old-school, unspoilt pub with good sports screens that don't overpower your experience.

I've been to this pub a few times recently and have been impressed by how the staff provide such a warm, friendly welcome to a new customer. They are happy to chat yo you over the bar. The lager is well kept too. I highly recommend this pub to residents of the Unthank Road/Mount Pleasant locality of Norwich Richard from up the road.

The best example of the typical pub. Walk in and you feel welcomed and at ease. Really friendly staff. Great choice of beers. Watch sport on sky or by if that is your thing. No food but this is a pub not a restaurant.

Best pub I've been to in Norwich to watch the rugby 6 nations. Sit in front of the big screen if you can, next best thing to being at Twickenham. Great beer too, as always.

Love this pub, good beers and friendly too, nice outside area. Only loses a star because there are too few seats which don't look at a screen showing sports.

A step back into another world. Not everyone cup of tea the decor but the beer and friendly atmosphere can't be faulted. Dog friendly with an outside area and sports and bar free lounge available. Great staff and landlord.

My very, very local. A bit sports mad for me (loads of screens) but run by lovely people and always respectful of the local housing. If you like watching sport, pretty ideal mix of screens and local pub vibe
