Only visiting the area for university open day but breakfast was delicious as staff lovely and friendly. Thanks
A young guy who works here helped me out last night right as the store was closing and I didn't catch his name - I really want to say a massive thank you to him!! If there's any way of finding out please can someone message me to let me know, or pass this message on? Service here is always fantastic, but he went above and beyond to the point I even feel guilty as he didn't need to... THANK YOU!!!

The male member of staff in the bureau de change in the Costessey, Norwich branch is so friendly and helpful! He was a pleasure to deal with yesterday.
I'd like to say thank you to the security guard who saw my four year old granddaughter looyfking oking like she was about to leave the store alone. He couldn't know that her granddad had just lnnebñft to go to the car or that I wasn't far behindv her. He just spotted her, and left his position to follow and ensure that she was ok. She may not have been. Shhe could have been lost. And both security guards were alert and were ready to leap into action. Thank you. 😁👍🏼
“Can we go to Big Sainsbury’s?” <- me whenever I want two hours to inexplicably pass by, because entering Big Sainsbury’s is like entering the twilight zone where time no longer exists in the same realm.
Big Sainsbury’s has everything - well, nearly. It has an extensive clothing section, and has fitting rooms (though note these have limited hours and close most days at 6). They carry brands other than Tu Clothing, including Sosander, Thought, Finery London and Simply Be. Generally sizes 8-20 are available across brands and they often have a cheeky sale rail or two.
Behind clothing is toys, stationary, and a kitchen/homeware section. It is truly Lego sets and nibble bowl heaven. You’ll go in thinking you’ll just look and won’t buy anything, and you’ll emerge, stunned, twenty minutes later with a new pair of silicon-tipped tongs and a cosy mug with dogs on. I am definitely not speaking from experience.
If they haven’t quite got what you want in the homeware/toy section then no problem, you can have an angry coffee in the cafe upstairs, or you can head to Argos and spend 30 minutes scrolling through the catalogue and reminisce about the days you’d go through and circle items in that heavyweight book to add to your christmas list.
The rest of the shop is food aisles as far as the eye can see. Highlights: the aisle with the little Lindt ball pick-and-mix section at the end. There’s a good selection of health and beauty bits and an extensive free from section with a great variety of sweet and savoury.
The reason Big Sainsbury’s only gets 4 stars from me: the chilled free from section is smaller and there’s a lot less gluten free that there has been. There also isn’t a lot of unusual offerings that might match the size and scale of a Big Sainsbury’s; you’d have thought with all that space they’d have more to offer, but somehow it feels like a limited selection across the board. That said, it’s still perfect for a Big Shop, and has all the basics. Who wants a kumquat anyway.
I love the clothing and homeware bits here and honestly it’s nice if you want to spend less time rushing around and more time mooching.
If you’re looking for a quick shop, this Big Sainsbury’s is totally wasted on you and you should try the M&S down the road. If you want to enjoy a leisurely shop, this is the one for you.
Massive supermarket. Large range of goods and services such as cafe, photos, key cutting, opticians, large clothes range and more.
Used the upstairs cafe/restaurant. Ordered two all-day breakfasts, which were delicious when they arrived, but it took 40-minutes to arrive (after reminding them at the counter 30-minutes from ordering). Not ideal, as we stopped en route, travelling up to Yorkshire. Cleanliness could have been better, too. Tables were cleared, but not cleaned afterwards. The window blinds had seen better days. Odd used mugs left here & there. Such a shame, as Sainsburys should be raising their standards - there are much better supermarket cafes around.
Love this Sainsbury’s very good large parking facility at the front of the store.
Inside it has what you would expect from this chain store including cafeteria toilets on the first floor, access via a lift.
Very good fruit and vegetables sections as well as a really good food hall area , also has a large clothing section.
The store is totally accessible to all 👌
What can I say? It's a great Sainsbury's - a big one that basically has everything you're likely to want. The men's clothing section is good. There's an Argos in the store as well as a Specsavers. As you're walking in there is a place that fixes mobile phones and other tech. Couldn't ask for more.
A nice big store. We went to look at the clothes on this trip and they had a great selection of there own products as well as named brands.
The rare treat is thick cut sirloin steak,l have changed my normal supermarket to sainsbury.
Superb thick cuts which make for exquisite eating, only slight downside the butcher trims the fat to0 much.
Well stocked store with plenty of choices in the food area. Clothes selection of TU, good prices and nice clothes
Has everything you would ever need. The staff are always very helpful .. cant rate sainsbury's enough!
Tidy and well organised store. Staff is very helpful and respectful. Great customer service!!
I have visited Supermarket on Saturday early evening, end of September 2023. Wasn't very busy.
I was needed just couple of items from fresh section. Shop is tidy, is well lit.
I needed to use WC, but customer toilet was out of order. Upstairs in a café area another set on WC which is very helpful.
The way to the parking kind of hidden. It is from your left hand side lifting up, and it is narrow.
Hadn't shopped in this branch before. Huge & a wide range of products & clothing. Plenty of free parking.
Shopping ok ,nearly had everything we wanted. Just never enough manned tills but I suppose the less staff they have the more profits they make
Clean and tidy store.
Spacious
Lovely staff, friendly polite and helpful
Sehr geräumiger Supermarkt mit allem, was man sich vorstellen kann (Toiletten usw.). Vor der Tür gibt es einen sehr großen Parkplatz.

Very spacious supermarket with everything you can imagine (toilets, etc.). There is a very large parking lot in front of the door.
