We love to eat breakfast out as a treat and honestly this is the best breakfast we’ve had for years. Beautifully cooked and nothing was too much trouble. Everything arrived in good time and the cost was extremely reasonable; we’ve paid a lot more for far less quality. If you’re in Norwich do make an effort to go, you won’t be disappointed.
Absolutely amazing. I had the large Gluten Free breakfast and the sausages and bacon were really nice, locally sourced too.
Highly recommend this place. They serve strangers coffee too.
The owner is hilarious, very honest but a real nice chap and the kitchen been in his family since 2015. He has a lot of passion for the place since taking over from his mum 4 years ago and whilst it looks a bit like a greasy spoon (it serves breakfasts, not sure how else it should look!) you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how good the food is
Lovely walk through the old hospital and found the Unthank Kitchen, " wow" the full english was fantastic , local sausages and free range eggs, hubby loved the bubble & sqeak. Will definitely go again when next in Norwich.
Delicious breakfast with great coffee and some lovely veggie/vegan options. Service was also fast and friendly!
What a great find in Norwich. Just on Unthank road this cracking querky little cafe is an absolute winner.
All the food freshly cooked.
We had the Spanish breakfast which was great and am looking forward to going back and trying their Bubble and Squeak so will update once tried.
We stayed in Norwich for the night and the next morning found this cafe for breakfast it was welcoming do went in. The menu was very good and had lots of choices. I had eggs royale and my partner had a smaller full English breakfast, both were delicious and the coffee was very nice. The staff were friendly too. We will definitely come back when we are in Norwich.
My favourite brunch place in Norwich. Dog friendly, even inside, and a variety of gluten free and vegetarian options available. Very impressed by the range, from full english to pancakes to the specials menu. Portions are delicious and generous, and food is locally sourced with produce origins on display inside. The owner is an absolute hoot too, a real character. On my last visit, I enjoyed something new to the specials board - potato wedges with veggie chilli and cheese. Something a bit different from the usual breakfast selection and it didn’t disappoint! It was the perfect amount of heat. The coffee is from Strangers, and it’s also very good. Tea and amazingly decaf tea also available. There’s a small courtyard at the back which is wonderful in summer. Overall, a cosy brunch spot offering incredibly great value and excellent food.
Have to love the Unthank Kitchen. It's potentially one of my favourite places to go to breakfast, and a must visit if you've never been before. The breakfasts are reasonably priced and the coffee is great - What more could you want?
I went with the Vegetarian Full English Breakfast
Lovely breakfast! Really friendly staff and accommodating for any requests ☺️
Top notch proper cafe. Popular with locals, students and workmen alike. Veggie / vegan options. And a pic with Corbyn (Jeremy not Piers) on the wall.
The place to have your real fine traditional Norfolk breakfast. Don't miss their bubble & squeaks as well as their black pudding! Definitely a frequent for me...
Great food and good options for vegan diet. Lovely staff and a very clean little restaurant. Good prices as well, will definitely be back!
Delicious veggie breakfast and superb coffee

This place does a beautiful breakfast and cappuccino chaser. Polite and friendly service to top it off. I will certainly be back soon 👌🏻
A local friend brought me here. I got an sandwich and she got a pancake and both were excellent.
It was a sunny day so the outside seating area is lovely when the sun is out.
Excellent breakfast and lovely coffee. Very quick service and they have made the most of the space
I've been there a few times now and really like it. The staff are always lovely and the atmosphere there is really good. And Most importantly, the food is lush and they make a great cuppa 🙂 It's definitely one of mine and my friends favourite places to go for Breakfast.
Great local English breakfast, just what I needed staying around the corner for a few days. Traditional cafes like this are a dying breed so it’s great to find one open on a Sunday. Friendly service much appreciated.
