We popped in at lunchtime, the pub was pleasantly busy but not too busy. Although there is a large outdoor seating area, on this occasion we chose to sit indoors. The pub was clean and nicely decorated. We ordered at the bar and were served by Alex, who was friendly and efficient. The wait for food was as expected for freshly cooked food, not too long but long enough to know it was properly cooked! My daughter had fish and chips and I had the Monterrey cheese and bacon burger. The fish was huge and overhung the sides of the plate. My burger was perfectly cooked and the skin on fries were lovely. I believe the chefs were called Eloise and Gabe, having asked a passing member of staff. All in all, it was a lovely experience and I will be a frequent visitor from now on.

Went on a Saturday about 5.00pm. Very busy and lively! Some might say rowdy (but there are quiet areas) never felt it crossed the line. 4 of us,my wife and daughters. You can order food from the bar, there was an online ordering sysyem but by the time you download the app was quicker to order from the bar, anyway Had a beer and a sharing platter, food was piping hot and delicious, beer was cold. Service was quick and cheerful. No complaints, happily satisfied.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! The food was DELICIOUS! The meat pies and bangers were a delight! Piping hot proper traditional British comfort food at its best with very nice cold ale. We came for dinner on a Saturday game night. They were full and busy and yet never failed to be very friendly and the food came as quick as could be expected. Whoever gave this place bad reviews has issues. I warmly recommend it to anyone who loves good British comfort food and a cheery pub atmosphere.

One of the best Sunday roasts we had. We had mixed meat and lamb shanks. Beer selection was great. Prices very reasonable. Service was prompt. The chocolate cake is so rich and yummy. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals here. We had an outdoor seat and the atmosphere was really great on a Sunday afternoon. Would come back anytime for another round of feast again. Well done Lamb Inn!

I had sausage and mash at the lamb for lunch, it was a mixed bag, the sausages were poor quality and the mash was a tiny portion. However, I asked if it was possible to get some more and the waitress happily obliged. I had the chocolate brownie for desert, it was delicious if a little stodgy. £20 for the whole meal, it's worth a punt if you're in the city and the court yard is nice if you want to sit outside.

We went here to watch the Rugby and have a few beers. We booked a table. When we arrived we explained that one of our party was on crutches, so Raul promptly swapped the bookings to allow us to be downstairs. Raul and his team looked after us really well. The beer was great, Old growler and London pride real ales on when we visited. The pub is big, over two levels,, with some sports screens, but they do not dominate the pub. There is a lib beer garden with plenty of covered tables and a mixed clientele.

Good food menu. Especially love the outside seating. Perfect during the slightly cooler days. The gig the other day that we walked into was great for something that was free. Staff was very welcoming.

A hidden gem in the heart of the city A huge courtyard if you want alfresco Plenty of room inside upstairs and downstairs Although there's a lot of people, it's very easy to get served. You order the food and pay at the same time Starters I had baked smoked haddock and cheese fish cake followed by pork roast and topped off with sticky toffee rum sponge absolutely delicious complements to the chef The staff are very friendly and very helpful Highly recommend this establishment

This was my first visit part of an office party The layout of this facility is excellent. The interior design has incorporated spaces for both small and large groups to feel private and exclusive. The food (veg burger, fried prawns and prawn salad) was all very high quality. Good atmosphere and friendly service.

Great pub made even better by the top notch service I received. A nice young lad, I think he said his name was Harry, was more than happy to indulge me in discussing the finer points of the wide selection of ales and beers they have on offer. That's what I like to do you see, I go to pubs and discuss beer as a hobby to see if I can catch out which pubs have staff who know their stuff and which don't. I have to say Harry passed my test with flying colours, not only was he able to answer all my questions about the drinks on offer, he was actually able to teach me several things (despite me being connoisseur that I am), all the while not neglecting to give prompt service to the other patrons requiring his service. Bravo Harry. You are a rarity in this industry, and while The Lamb is a top notch pub by its own merits, it is made just that little bit better by your presence and wisdom. Nice beer garden.

One of my favourites when I lived here, the atmosphere is great, the courtyard is really cool and tucked away from the crowds f the centre. We revisiting recently and the food really impressed. The menu is massive and our group of 6 had a great spread of all the options. I had the three cheese and mushroom burger which was very good. The fish and chips was huge and could tell was fresh fish. Service was super fast and always came out with a smile, despite having to dodge the rain!! We all order separately too, so was a nice touch to have it all come out together. The inside is a classic pub, the outdoor courtyard as mentioned is really cool and also HEATED (life savour!) Price wise, it’s very standard gastro pub pricing but with the quality of food it’s a very good deal! Definitely recommend the lamb if your visiting or eating out on Norwich.

I’ve been to lamb inn a lot over the years, today was my first time going in as a Mum. My 8 week old was screaming blue murder in his pram so I went in hoping to find a cosy corner to feed in. It was quite busy and I felt bad bustling in with a screaming baby, but the man behind the bar was wonderful - took my drink order, hid my pram away somewhere safe and allowed me to sit upstairs (which was closed) in a comfy booth - he even carried my drink for me! Really appreciated the kindness and will be back for date night once I’m ready to leave bubs with his Nana for the eve! Thank you!

A popular pub with thrills. Me and my friend arrived about 11.30 to have a drink as it was incredibly warm outside. It was very quiet but I knew this pub anyway and I know how busy it can get. We were told the lunch menu wont start until 12 which we were fine with so we took a window seat and relaxed. Firstly, i love the drink bottles being used as candles, very different and unique. There are lots of talking points in the lamb with various old items hanging on the wall and around the bar. The place itself is welcoming and the atmosphere is very nice. Always thriving even when it isn't busy. Outside soon got crowded which in the gorgeous weather isn't a surprise. There are plenty of tables to sit at but its just as cool and nice inside. I havent been upstairs before so I cant comment on that but I'm sure it's just as nice as downstairs. The bar area is large but when theres a lot of people there you have to be confident enough to find the bar! The music is great here and the evening atmosphere is outstanding. Everyone has a great time. The food menu has lots of choice at a good price. The chicken tikka masala was nicely done. The rice could have been cooked a little better as I feel it was microwaved. BUT it still tasted good and I was fine with that. There is an impressive range of drinks so you definitely wont feel thirsty here. Theres also a gaming Nintendo to keep the kids OR adults busy and happy! The staff were very attentive to everyone's needs and went round and made sure everyone was ok. I recommend this place to families, couples, singletons and everyone basically. Whether your looking for a quick drink, a place to meet someone or a big plate of food with your mates, you'll find it here.

First visit in over 40 years! At that time was one of the first to have an open buffet. Both looking forward to the meal we ordered and paid for only to be told it should have been taken off till, my second choice also not available so went for the gammon and a hunters chicken, both excellent. Given a free round of drinks for inconvenience. Staff were all lovely and kept apologising. Anybody can make mistakes, its how you get over them and they went the extra mile. Would definitely have been five stars across the board but for the mishaps and will definitely return.
