I had my birthday "all you can eat" breakfast here today. The food was great, plentiful and the coffee really good. The service however and the kindness of whom I assume was the manager, was beyond expectation and for which I am most grateful :)
The meal was tasty, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Good customer service, reps were very helpful, and they were welcoming.
Stopped by for lunch as a family, very friendly staff who were quick to help - especially Maggie who was incredibly kind and attentive, and even noticed we’d been sat for a while after ordering so offered to chase up our food. Good value for money, comfortable environment. Could do with a little update in the bathroom (taps have to be held down to work, toilet not flushing properly), but this obviously doesn’t affect the food. I wouldn’t take a first date here, but as a family meal place it’s brilliant!
Lovely friendly staff, very busy but they were always keen to help. The atmosphere was lively but not overwhelming and the food was well served and nice and hot. Great team, would definitely recommend the Oak and look forward to coming back.
The service tonight was great. We were told on arrival that there was a delay with food of an hour due to problems with staff. All the staff remained pleasant and polite during the evening even when customers were unpleasant with them. A credit to the place.

Group breakfast with colleagues sae the hot plate quickly diminish as we raided all the food. Tasty, plentiful, and clean place to enjoy a meeting. I prefer this brewers fayre over all the local venues. Loads of parking foe.larger vehicles also makes it highly accessible.
Had a fantastic meal with my wife.
We had Fish & chips and Gammon steak.
Deliciuos food, excellently cooked and served.
It was busy lunch period, staff was very friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere too, for casual lunch. Big thank you to the Staff for exclusive service.

Mothers day meal out for a family of 7. Huge line to start with and what looked like minimal staff. Food seemed to take a while but we had hungry children. Melissa was brilliant. Spoke and messed around with the children, nothing seemed too much trouble but generally really personable and friendly. My children responded well to her and we had a good laugh aswell, thank you very much for dealing with us and making the evening fun!
Staying in the holiday Inn we were looking for a different menu. Pleasant surprise, the menu has more options than HI and is quite a bit cheaper. And it tastes good.
The atmosphere is cosier and not like a breakfast buffet hall. So overall this is a nice surprise, decent food for McD price.

Parking is limited at busy periods so plan ahead. Food is mediocre on the servery so my advice would be to order off the menu at least this way you are aware the food has been cooked fresh and within the last hour. Drinks are reasonable priced and with the unlimited coffee tea and post mixed soft drinks this establishment is onto a winner.
The breakfast they do every morning which is also open to the general public get very busy but kids eat free so is worth your money and something I would recommend plus it is an unlimited breakfast.
I would like to amend my review and up the stair by one for the quality of the food even out of the five plates we requested only 2 where correct. My family where tired and didn’t really want to go to McDonald’s so they chose the oaks. We walked in around 8pm on the bank holiday weekend and got a table for 5 straight away. After choosing what we wanted we went up and made our order. Mushy peas on one meal , no coleslaw on the vegan meal and if possible a jug of iced water as if was really warm and we had children. We was told they did not serve jugs of water even though we had seen with our own eyes 4 jugs of water being served. Instead we where given empty glasses and told to use the tap around the corner. We waited the usual 45 minutes for our food to find the vegan burger had coleslaw over ( vegans can’t eat mayo ) and my mushy peas turned into garden peas.
As we where all to tired from travelling we couldn’t be bothered to argue/query with the waiter . After waiting 45 mins for our food in the first place I wasn’t prepared to argue/query it with the waiterf
Friday afternoon, fairly quiet, knowledgeable young lady on the bar, food piping hot, seemed to be cooked to order as tasted and looked nice and fresh. Comfortable seating too 😋
Had a 80th birthday meal for my mother-in-law with the family, meal was lovely and service was amazing from Maggie a lovely lady.
Very nice food, good vibe and nice, kind staff. Highly recommend it to everyone. Quiet busy sometimes better to book table forward.
