I just love the place..not only for the mouth watering food ...the theme of the interior is also very impressive and unique. A must visit restaurant in the heart of the city. There is no separate parking ,but off street parking is available.
Great service and food, we chose the two course lunch menu, varied choice, the gammon was good, also the chicken breast & noodles, for second course the New York cheesecake is one of the best I've had outside of New York. The ice cream sundae was good too, would thoroughly recommend, in an old library with some of the books still on show. Great character & atmosphere.
Delicious very well cooked to order food served professionally in an atmospheric historical building kept to it's original style in the centre of Norwich. The Library is just a few metres from the central market square and taxi rank. I ordered a rib eye steak that was succulent and render, my companions ordered the pork tenderloin and the Duck Comfit, they both complimented their dishes. We will definitely return in the future!!
Great for lunch or drinks in the evening.
Lovely building with a nice vibe.
Good menu with accommoding staff.
Wonderful building, with the quirkiness of library books. A cozy and romantic place, with good priced very tasty food and an excellent choice.
You cannot beat the food, service, price and historic building setting.
Worth a try if you have not discovered it.

Such a stunning venue, love the touch of the old features and the pictures around show how they were used. Eg the light fittings in the main hall.
Food was great, fabulous sized portions.
Mixed grill was huge.
Steak was a little over cooked, but it was still delicious! Staff were incredible
Went for my brother's birthday and the staff really made us feel welcome and relaxed. There was a bit of a wait to begin with for drinks and our order to be taken but the waitress explained there was a large group ahead of us, we weren't fussed. Food was really good and the atmosphere brilliant.
Very nice staff. Good menu.
Brilliant service. We were a large group and two waiters managed to serve all of us within minutes and even dealt with our errors on our order list. Highly recommended. And the food was amazing except for the cheesecake...but no-one is perfect!
Super food showcasing a good menu that delivered great flavours and a solid understanding of using flavour, colour and texture to deliver a good experience.
Our red wine was really special, initially seeming dull but developing complex flavours with time and food! Well recommended by our waiter.
Wheelchair accessible with accessible toilet facilities.
The Library is not cheap, but in this case you get what you pay for, and some. I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. They can cater for individuals and larger groups, the later should book in advance to avoid disappointment.
The bar is well stocked and the cocktails are properly made, which is a bit of a rarity today.
The staff are very accomodating & friendly.
My partner and I dropped in after looking at the lunch menu, during a day in the city. Lunch meals are £8.95 each, and are a decent size. We both went for burgers (i had the juicy lucy, and he had a chickpea burger). I can honestly say mine was one of the nicest burgers I've ever had. He didn't love his (not a fan of chickpeas, but it was the only veggie option). The service was fast, and both people serving were lovely. The veggie options could be increased for the lunch time menu, but that it my only criticism. I'll definitely be back.
Great atmosphere, tasty menu and very friendly staff. Quite near to the theater. Good place to go and meet friends and chat. Doesn't seem as if they would rush you.
Be prepared to wait at busy times. We waited a while for mains to come and during that time would have expected to be asked if we wanted more drinks but no-one did.
Would go again for sure.
Really lovely food in a fantastic setting. Very well priced.
