This place is a regular sanity-restorer for me. Kieran's coffees are top notch. He is always looking out for coffees from different roasters ensuring that he's at the cutting edge of the burgeoning Norwich coffee scene.

If you find yourself in Norwich you must visit this place. In the space of 45 minutes I began to understand a little about the complex nature of coffee, I was told by my son Nick that I wasn't allowed milk or sugar which horrified me but I think I enjoyed the best coffee ever which was made by Kyle. This is a small friendly place, we chatted to a fisherman, I learned a bit about sign writing and had a thoroughly enjoyable visit.

Excellent little Coffee stop that serves brilliant tasty coffee and some lovely looking food. This includes brunch items off the menu and some tasty looking pastries. The staff are super friendly and prices are good. Seating both upstairs and downstairs and big windows let in loads of light. Largest coffee they do is 8oz.

One of the tiniest coffee shops you'll ever visit but also one of the best! The coffee here is arguably the best in Norwich and the pastries are from an excellent local bakery. Excellent friendly service too. Fantastic atmosphere.

always a go to for smooth coffee, some tasty vegan lunch options, and a sweet bite! the atmosphere is light, bright, and airy. handmade wooden stools, plants on the ceiling, and a colourful wall piece which acts as both a sound insulator and aesthetic piece. wonderful top floor near windows for working and great outside seating on a nice day.

Had brunch here, food was delicious, well prepared, quality ingredients. Coffee was very good too. Nice touches like jugs of water and glasses you can have on your table. We sat upstairs which has plenty of seating for couples or groups. Downstairs has seating but not as much as upstairs.

Perfect spot for great coffee. First time visiting the city and tried this out. Had a coffee and breakfast bun, it was reasonably priced and a just what was needed. Would recommend if in the city.

A nice little cafe on the walk into the city which does a good coffee and has a nice range of cakes. Staff are relaxed and friendly so you can look forward to an atmosphere befitting that. Good outside seating on the street when the weather is warm.

A lovely little cafe with wonderful staff! I've started going in regularly for a few months, I love the location and building, the coffee is delicious, and the food is great! Perfect for places to go and sit and work, or just to relax. It's also dog friendly! This is a big plus.

Good coffee and decent cakes! Easy going and great staff. Laid back. Upstairs there is plenty of space and plenty of sunlight enters. Highly recommend.

Love the atmosphere of the cafe a lot and the decoration on the wall, looks as if entering an artist's mind! Different coffee bean selection but dessert portion maybe a bit smaller as usual 🍰

Lovely space for working in a cafe with good coffee and cakes! I’ve been here a few times to work on uni stuff and it’s been a good experience (lots of plants and natural light) however I sometimes find the stools too uncomfortable for long periods of time.

Wasn't looking forward to this place. My prejudices were such that I imagined that the staff would be so far up themselves that there was a danger that their tongues would be entirely displaced by another organ altogether. I was wrong, very wrong. Artel doesn't just skate on its vibe. It has real class and attention to detail. The food and coffee is superb, quality ingredients brought together with conviction and placed in front of you with pride. The staff are young, hardworking and energetic, but this is not a chain; consequently expect great service, but don't be too harsh if you have to wait an extra 5 minutes for your coffee or sandwich to arrive. See it as part of the charm of a small independent trying very hard, with limited space and means, to be the best.
