We stayed in the attic room (Thyme). The staircase was hidden behind a door in the hallway and led up to a vaulted room with sloping ceilings and beams. Plenty of room, comfy chairs, plenty of drawer and cupboard space and the bed was comfortable too. The ensuite had a large walk-in shower which was hot and powerful. It was very quiet - no road noise could be heard. Breakfast was excellent and the service great. It's a beautiful building and the grounds looked very autumnal. Good value for money and we would certainly stay again.
booked the afternoon tea for a baby shower very clean food very nice but a special mention to Hayley who took my booking and also for looking after us on the day thank you I have now had a few afternoon teas there and keep coming back or recommending to others thank you stowed grange
Quaint old fashioned rectory giving first class service and food. Just outside the center of Drayton. Good access and parking.
Had to book a hotel at the last minute, and Stower came up as the most cost effective, with good reviews and a discount. So I thought, why not!
Arrived early, but as my room was ready, I was able to check in.
WiFi is good enough to work and stream films, so suitable for most, if not all.
I stayed in Rosemary, all the rooms are named after herbs, I believe, which is at the front of the building and when it's sunny can be quite hot. Although no AirCon a fan is supplied, which does the job.
I didn't eat in the evenings at the hotel as the food didn't appeal to me or I couldn't eat it but I'm sure it would have been very good, I ate at the pub which is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The breakfast is lovely and cooked to order with a selection of cereals and fruit available also.
Very friendly owners and staff.
A beautiful hotel, very comfortable rooms and lovely breakfasts! We took our little dog and we felt very welcome by staff. The gardens at the back are beautiful- I nearly missed them in the rain!
Beautiful old building with well kept grounds. Friendly service and good menu at a reasonable price. We had a very pleasant Sunday lunch.
From Canada with my wonderful British wife. Wanted to spend a few nights on our own after staying with family. Wonderful example of a classic British inn. Well appointed, great meals. Tom and the rest of the staff took very good care of us. The owner Richard should be very proud of them. Thank you
The rooms were spotless, airy with very comfortable beds.
The evening dinner we had was just amazing and so delicious. We also had a cooked breakfast which was very tasty. Great service from Lindsey and Dominic too.
I booked for the night before my daughter's wedding for my two daughters, my Grandaughter and myself to have a relaxing time and we all loved it. I would highly
recommend. I also thought it was very good value for money.
Went for a colleagues wedding in house buffet was marvelous,if the rooms named after herbs were as good it was worth 5 stars. Had fun dancing, grounds looked enticing. Staff were efficient and friendly.
My son had his wedding and reception at this lovely hotel, everything and everyone was superb, Richard went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Food was divine, complements to the chef for the great choice of food for afternoon tea. The rooms were very well presented and clean. Many thanks for a lovely time there.
A very good place to meet up with friends for lunch. Very good meals.
Had lunch with ex works colleagues great venue helpful friendly staff great food.
We had our wedding reception at Stower Grange this year and it was the most memorable and wonderful celebration we could have asked for. Richard and his staff carefully helped us plan the day and made sure our wedding reception went smoothly in a classic hotel atmosphere. There was a wide range of dishes on the menus to choose from and the rooms were very comfortable. We would highly recommend celebrating your wedding here!
Me and my friends had a truly fantastic stay at the Stower Grange Hotel. Amazing value. The food we got both for dinner and breakfast was sensational and served in large portions.
Family-run.
On a side note: front-facing rooms are much nicer than the one I landed in the back.
Lovely 17c Hotel West of Norwich. The owner Richard and his staff are wonderful people. Friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Very dog friendly hotel.
Room was spacious, clean and warm.
Breakfast selection was great, fresh individually cooked full English or variations.
We had the 3 course set menu on Saturday evening, excellent menu and brilliantly presented quality meal. All local produce.
Plenty of parking.
Ideal place to visit our new granddaughter.
Will stay there again without a doubt.
Thanks to Richard and all the staff.
Had a fantastic time at the Christmas dinner dance in December. The food was delicious, friendly staff, great disco and the room was lovely and spacious. Very comfortable bed too.
We recently attended this venue for a wedding reception, where my partner and I were guests. We also stayed overnight in the hotel and had a cooked breakfast in the morning.
From beginning to end, neither of us could fault the experience. Whether it was the warm welcome all the guests received upon arrival, the punctual and delicious wedding breakfast, or the extremely comfy room we stayed in - it was all fantastic.
For me, the standout was definitely the staff. They went above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and welcome. This wasn't just what I'd call very good customer service, it was *definitive* and I couldn't imagine it being better in any way. Every single member of staff I interacted with across every function of the business was outstanding! A rare thing.
I honestly can't even think of anything to nitpick... (and picking nits is my speciality 😝) it has got to be 5/5.
We went for afternoon tea for my Husbands Sister and her Husband's 50th wedding anniversary......my Sister in law was told there would be an assortment of sandwiches...but when they came not the ones she was told....but still very nice...the staff were very friendly and helpful...especially 1 young man cannot remember his name....plenty tea coffee fruit juice and there was alcohol available.
Lovely family owned and run hotel, close enough to Norwich where I'm working. Staff are great. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've had in a long time, and the black pudding was amazing. It's the little things...
