As a regular user of Green Pastures, we are so lucky to have this great local business in South Norfolk! The restaurant consistently serves up great food, we have used the post office more times in recent years as it’s so handy being on our doorstep, the garden centre team go above and beyond, and the farm shop is a hazard - you always end up spending far more money than you had planned! Fresh produce and great selection. I know how hard the owners will work to keep a business like this going, with fresh produce, high customer expectations, staffing and the current cost of living, and everyone should make an effort to support a business like this. Keep up the great work James and team!

Stopped here for lunch after a visit to Norwich. Greeted and shown to a table with a selection of menus plus also a specials board to choose from. Both our meals were very well presented and were large portions to the extent we had no room to sample the selection of sweets and cake on offer. The staff were very polite and helpful. A walk around the selection of autumn and winter type plants looked very good and of high quality at not silly prices. All in all a very enjoyable visit.

We had a fantastic visit to Green Pastures where we enjoyed our lunch so much we even treated our selves to some of the cakes with a coffee! Everything was delicious, well presented and to top it off staff were super friendly. This wasn't our first visit, as we've previously enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea here. We will definitely be back!

8 of us arrived earlier than we booked but it wasn't a problem. Everything on the menu was available. 3 of us chose the fish specials which were absolutely amazing. Best swordfish I have ever tasted! All 4 children ate their main and desert and two adults managed to fit in a delicious desert! Service was very prompt despite it being quite busy. Lovely atmosphere and happy friendly staff. Definitely recommend!

Went here on way back from holiday, as I was recommended the breakfast here. Stopped with children and in-laws. Must admit the quality and quantity of the breakfast was excellent. In-laws also bought some plants, they stated that it had good quality plants and a good selection. Will definitely return next time I am heading to and from suffolk.

We popped in this morning after an early morning visit to Norfolk and Norwich hospital, famished and in need of a decent breakfast. I had the ‘Head Gardeners’ breakfast, and Loraine had the ‘Eggs Royale’. Just wanted to say, best breakfast I have ever had!! And Loraine was blown away by hers too. Thank you!! Top notch plates of food 😊

First time I’ve visited and we were looking for a few plants for the garden and decided to have a coffee and cake before we had a browse. Staff and service was fantastic, friendly and attentive. Food and drink was lovely and the price was very reasonable. Didn’t find all the plants we were looking for but then it is early in the season and no rush. Good range of plants, household items and tools. Highly recommended garden centre and look forward to our next visit.

Visited Green pastures for the first time on Saturday. We booked for breakfast under the canopy and the setting, service and quality of the breakfast was excellent. The garden centre itself is beautiful with a large selection of well looked after plants. The farm shop is a real bonus with the nicest quality fruit and veg I have seen this year. Cant recommend enough, defiantly my new go to place and very reasonably priced too. Well worth a visit.

Afternoon tea is really good and thoughtfully presented.. Suggest to get five stars that the water is filtered of limescale as it makes the tea very scummy, wet napkins for sticky fingers and tidy up /landscape the car park /storage area, it needs better presentation to make it less scruffy (one of the letters on the external sign is missing) . Also visibility leaving the car park onto the road is very poor, needs changing. But food and staff are ace and deserve five stars.

UPDATE: Re-visited for Sunday lunch on 8th August and it was lovely. More vegetables and everything well cooked. Thoroughly enjoyed. Will be back. Went today for a Sunday lunch. When we arrived they had not got our booking, despite only ringing us approximately 90 minutes earlier asking if they could move our booking back a half hour. They did find a table for us, luckily they weren't that busy. We all ordered the roast and whilst it tasted very nice and there was plenty of meat we were very disappointed with the lack of vegetables, one small piece of cauliflower and half a small carrot is not acceptable when paying £12.99 for a roast. Whilst there were also two potatoes and half a parsnip on our plates there were no greens. On previous occasions vegetables were brought to the table separately with potatoes, parsnips and carrot already on the plate. I believe the cauliflower also had mustard powder or similar on top which was too overpowering. Unsure whether we'll be back which is a shame as we always thought the roasts here excellent.

A great place to stop and eat, friendly service, great quality and choice of food. Have to fight to resist the cakes! In nice weather you can sit outside and people and plant watch.Good farm shop with many local products. To add icing there is a well run post office, what more could you want?

It was my first time here meeting up with for breakfast and my what a breakfast. Think my brother ordered the Head Gardeners Big Boots breakfast which was lovely. Food was good quality and plenty of it. Lady said plates were hot and going by other places when they say this and really they might be like warm I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were indeed very hot which kept food warm until I had finished eating. Staff lovely and friendly. Well worth a visit and definitely will be visiting again.

Whilst the plants may be a little bit more expensive than some other, bigger diy/garfen centres, you get what you pay for! The ants are helpfully laid out for the type of soil or garden you have and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant is top-notch with great roasts, cakes and sausage rolls. Well worth a visit.
