Been here a few times, either for quick easy pop in after a busy day, and now for a couple of birthday celebrations, but we came in Monday 13-01-20 6pm for my son n laws birthday tea there was a few of us including noisy grandchildren... young blonde girl served us, she was lovely, food as usual was great, not a long wait, I only had Β£2 to tip as paid by card but just wanted to say I love this place, not because food is cheap but because I think it is a great place all round.. thanks for a great night

Had a lovely meal tonight, service was great, friendly, polite and had good sense of humour, had to wait a bit for food but there was 9 of us and all different orders so it was worth the wait, well presented tasty food, desserts where lovely. Great place to chill.

It was busy but they found us space with a pushchair as well. We enjoyed a lovely relaxed lunch and the awesome Freakshakes. Definately recommend the place and the food.

Loved it, second time coming to the Oak Tree and it's been great both times! We sat out the back in the sun, our food came really quickly and it was amazing. Service was good and friendly. Definitely recommend οΏ½

Lunch with my mum and dad yesterday, food was lovely. We had a very nice waitress who was new and only on her second shift, but she was polite, helpful and attentive. Definitely recommend it.

Booked a table for 3 people on mothers day , we all had food from the set menu , the pork roast should of had crackling with it , i had to ask for some ! , I asked for the deluxe sticky toffee pudding with Bailey's but was given the normal one , I queried this and it had gone through on the till as a normal but the waitress brought me a miniature bottle of Baileys at no extra cost , my only other complaint is that the sticky toffee pudding was cold , I was expecting it to be hot πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ . The decor is lovely as were all the staff , plenty of tables and a good sized car park , wheel chair friendly entrance πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Enjoyed a lovely meal at the Oak Tree. Great service, really attentive and friendly staff. Loved the burger! Mum had fish and chips and also enjoyed her meal. Nice cocktails and wine selection, good value. Very well decorated, comfortable seating, and really nice beer garden. Will return! 😁

I had my Mother's wake here and it exceeded all expectations. The buffet was hot and really tasty with good quality food, (we had the gold option) lovely presentation too, if you're looking for a buffet you'll be hard pressed to find anywhere better. The pub has a lovely interior and a fantastic garden out the back with heaters, there is also a front outside area. The toilets and everywhere else is very clean and well maintained....the staff are very attentive and service is always with a smile. My family and I now eat here regularly, because of the food, the Sunday roasts are delicious, with free top ups on gravy, Yorkshire's and roast potatoes. So glad to have discovered the oak tree, this place has it all!...also dog friendly. (the steak in the photograph was asked to be cooked charred, and was delicious)

The Oak Tree, Norwich, England Modern pub that seems to succeed doing it all: pub menu and Sunday roasts, real ale and cocktails, sports viewing and event hosting, children and dogs, live music and intimacy, indoor and outdoor. Particularly impressed with the service...our hostess was also our bartender, our server and our cashier. She even cleaned and tidied sections. (Well, it was getting late). Drink selection and quality: 5-star; Service: 5-star; Food: 4-star; Ambience: 4-star; Value: 4-star. Parking and convenience: 5-star. Overall: 5-star.

This is my first time my friends and my wife and I have visited this pub, we was a group of 6 we was welcomed soon as we walked in. We ordered food for all of us and they mixed mine up with someone else’s so I mentioned this to the manager and they was very apologetic, they were more than happy to change my meal they also compensated me by giving me a free drink. The reason for five star review is the friendliness attitude of the staff. I feel that the food is priced right for there service they give but I do think that the amount of mash potatoes they serve are kids sizes.

Went for a weekday evening meal - plenty of choice and delicious meals had by all! The service was really good too, especially when it came to making a picky eater of the group feel included by serving a starter and side very aesthetically as a main meal. Would happily return!

Visited last night for a roast dinner with the family, all really enjoyed the food! Me & my partner had the roast dinners, and it comes with top up roasties and yorkshires which is a nice touch! Nice pub very modern, with board games and sonic the hedgehog game on the telly. Also does a dog menu with roast dinners. Will definitely go again

Went to the OT for a funeral wake. The food was excellent. Ham and cheese sandwiches on delicious fresh doughy bread, chips, bread and fish goujons and two different gateau for dessert as well as tea and coffee. Very nice. Will come again

What a hidden gem I have found today! Slightly outside of the city, this must be one of the prettiest pubs in Norwich - gorgeous garden, cannot wait to come back in sunnier weather! Food was gorgeous and I was served by the lovely Debbie who was as friendly as they come! Will be back soon :)

My family and I visited here yesterday for a Sunday afternoon birthday treat for my daughter. The welcome was warm and friendly with prompt service delivering delicious well prepared and cooked food. We had arrived a tad late and didn't sit down quite on time (thus potentially out staying our table time) but this didn't faze the staff / management who professionally and smilingly managed the situation. I for one will return to the Oak Tree as we all had a great time and meal.

During the week, they offer a set menu. It was 11.99 for a dish plus a dessert/app. The chicken burger was good and the chips were serviceable! I enjoyed the chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, but two of the dessert options weren't available (both of which I wanted first!). The aesthetic was interesting and the service was good!.

The Sunday roast was fabulous, good size but could do with more than one carrot. Was one of the best I've had. Service was very slow which did taint the experience slightly.

Great generous portions and lovely friendly staff. I wasn’t keen on the huge television screens showing sports but I’m probably in a minority with that opinion. The food was fine, I would happily eat here again.

This pub has had a chequered past. But, finally it looks like it has found a company that is prepared to look after it and invest in it. They've had a huge revamp both inside and especially outside creating a really nice garden to sit out in with a beer. The food was really good and quite reasonably priced as well. There is a good selection ranging from burgers, pies, mixed grills to sea food and sandwiches. There is something for everyone. Including vegetarian and vegan. Small plates for children and those with a small appetite. The staff are friendly and attentive without being over bearing. Beers are well kept too. 4 local ales and several keg lines of varying beers. It's proving popular as it's always busy during the week especially on a Tuesday when they have their quiz night. Plus live music once a month. Well worth a visit

Wanted to give it a try for Sunday lunch when my brother was visiting. The beef Sunday lunch was excellent and good value. Definitely will be returning next time I fancy a good Sunday treat.
