One of the best pubs in Norwich without doubt and the greatest staff ever!! Definitely a place to visit and have a pint of the wide selection of ales they've got

This pub has always been a favourite for years. It's not a wine bar but an ale bar. (Other alcoholic drinks are served.) Bar staff have have always been friendly and welcoming. Although kitchen seems small they always still produce with excellence.

Food was Amazing. We had Roast Beef which melted in your mouth. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. Our granddaughter enjoyed the colouring competition and is keeping her fingers crossed hoping that she wins!!!!

An excellent pub. The beer selection is fab. It's a go to destination whenever I'm in Norwich. Well worth the effort.

Must have been good as it kept us away from the beer festival. From the mad Hull who ran the quiz to the cute barmaids who kept us watered with a nice selection of ale

First time at this great CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2024 public house located right on the River Wensum by Fye Bridge. We sat inside but there is a seating gallery with sun umbrellas outside directly over the River. The pub has a screen or two for sports but they were not showing anything during our time there. Friendly bar staff and we spoke about how a Stout can be a great drink for any season of the year not just winter! We had two pints and two half pints of the lovely Nutty Ambassador Hazlenut Milk Stout by The Little Critters Brewing Company. The beer is top class and a very reasonable able price indeed. The pub serves alcoholic drinks other than real ale however it is rightly in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide, with nine hand pumps on offer, and the staff will let you taste and chat about the ales if you are undecided what to have or maybe you are new to ale drinking, making it a welcoming place to have a try. We didn’t eat this time but pizzas and other meals are available. The Pub has an excellent location and it was really enjoyable to watch kayaks, rowing boats and paddle boarders going past. A very chilled, mellow vibe going on Thank you indeed to the Staff and we will return!

We stumbled across this little gem after walking down the historic Elm Hill... A little dark alley brought us out onto a wooden balcony right on the River. We had entered via a back door so once inside it was a bit of a maze to find the bar.... Back through up the stairs and a lovely pub built over 2 levels right next to the bridge.... There are also tables outside at the e front of the pub Great choice of drinks Sitting next to the River was just lovely, so peaceful, just perfect

Great pub with a wide and always changing variety of beers on. Lovely decor inside and sitting outside by the river in summer is a joy

Friendly welcome and a comfortable environment. Decent range of beers at realistic prices, with some tempting bottles and cans as well. Not keen on allowing seating that blocks the view of the available beers (fortunately mostly a thing of the past), but the pub has the beer list on Untappd so that sufficed me. Didn't have food, but looked like some interesting options

Fantastic pub with good mix of locals and visitors, staff are welcoming. Have been here a few times but this time came without a reservation and they still managed to squeeze us in for a couple which was really appreciated. Large range of cask real ales plus Cornish Rattler cider on draft which is rare (try it it's amazing cider) Always a good visit when in Norwich.

A superbly sited drinking establishment hugging the River Wensum in Norwich. Vast range of beers, ales, wines & shirts to cater to all tastes and pockets. Attentive staff with that rare, but most sought after skill of knowing their drinks. This pub is always clean and well presented & can be lively when music is in the house, but rarely any trouble is found here. The regulars will not tolerate it, nor will staff. The only worthwhile riverside jetty is here, where paddling or cruising up to the pub is possible although on hit days, the jetty is the most favourite of places for all. Additional seating can be found behind the pub on the walk and the odd BBQ is here on selected dates. The ribs is a great starting point for your afternoon or evening as well as a good stop off mid visit to Norwich or whilst on a pub crawl or hen do, as well as being the last stop before home for many. The River Wensum that is straddles may lead to the sea, but all routes in the fair city lead back to the Ribs.

Had loaded fries and sampled the flights of local ales, superb. Excellent value and we escaped the rain during the thunder and lightning storm. Very pleasant staff and great atmosphere as locals arrived.

Been working locally this week and every night I’ve popped in as was recommended by someone I know through work and I can say that it’s a great pub with a a good atmosphere and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. The owner is happy to chat and I even had table service which is offered to all customers which is a great way to encourage customers. It’s only Wednesday but I’ll be back on Thursday before heading home Friday after working near Gt Yarmouth. You must visit The Ribs of Beef 👍

Really decent food. Reasonably priced. I just wish they had a proper drinks menu available as it's table service. Would have made ordering more drinks easier.

Friendly city centre pub on the river. Good selection of real ales. Very loud live music on the Sunday evening we were there but otherwise a good pub for a beer and conversation.

Norwich 's friendliest pub, located on the Wensum at Fye bridge. Seal (yes! Seal), otters, kingfishers are seen from this establishment. Varied drinks menu with in-house eatery. Terrace, over looking the river, boat mooring available and dogs welcomed. No wheelchair access available, toilets on lower lever. Ideal spot in the summer. Polite, knowledgeable & friendly staff. Current Guinness pouring champions. Quiz nights held here in bar as well as comedy nights in the downstairs wherry room. Home of the Summer's duck race. Live music most Sundays, which are extremely popular.

We went around lunch time and ordered some burgers. DELICIOUS! I highly recommend any burger on the menu. You might get a little messy. Luckily, they have a nice and clean bathroom located downstairs to clean up in. I faulted a star for the staff. Upon entering the establishment, a woman at the bar just smiled and said “hi”. I was a little lost since there were reservation notes on almost every table. I asked if we just pick any table to sit at and she said yes or you can order at the bar and sit. So I stood at the bar and asked for a menu, the same woman said I needed to sit at a table in order to see the menu.. then go back to the bar to order. We found a cute table near a window view of the river. Once we got the menu’s, I asked “so are you a waitress or do we need to order at the bar and she looked confused and said order with me (the waitress)… okay. It would have been much better to have been greeted and told directly “choose any table with no reservation on it or a time that is later and then someone will come to serve you.” Instead I was left scrambling to understand how to order anything! Haha Also, you must pay for any additional sauces like ketchup, mayonnaise, etc for your chips (50p). I thought that was a little ridiculous just for something to dip some chips in casually. I’ve never seen that before at a sit down restaurant. Anyways, the joint is really clean and cute with a wonderful view and delicious food. I will be back!

Great pub in a really nice location by the river. Good selection of beer. Pizza menu looked very nice but we didn't have time to try one - maybe next time when we definitely visit again in the future.
