The staff are great and well managed, the beer is really well kept.I cannot comment on the food but if it is half as good as the ale it will be worth eating.

Wonderful pub close to the Cathedral and law courts, fine range of locally brewed real ales to go with delicious home cooked food, and very friendly and helpful staff.
Very good selection of real ales and continental lagers,the food looked good,but didn’t try on this visit. Nice open area Out front with plenty of tables and chairs,ideal for sunny day drinking. Our group couldn’t fault it,so much so,that we stayed all afternoon.
Very friendly staff. Large outdoor seating area. Cheesy chips and nachos made a great light lunch shared between three.

We love it and always go when in Norwich. The ladies who served us were just lovely efficient and so friendly,made to feel so welcome.What a beautiful building, and the food was tasty and of course decent beer.

Booked here to go for lunch as slightly out of the centre and dog friendly, she had her own bowl of water ready on arrival and treats soon followed. Two of us had the burger and two had pie, we all really enjoyed it and definitely no room for dessert! Friendly staff and we would definitely go again, 😁

Location is nice with parking nearby, food selection was more designed for a lunch rather than a dinner but was still very good for a Pub. Members of staff were very kind and friendly but service was slow, would return but no rush to go there for food

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food reasonably priced. Quick service. And dog friendly too. I can highly recommend it. The burger was moist and meaty and the fish batter golden and crispy. Delicious meal.
Love this pub and have done for years just outside of the city centre. Lovely atmosphere and good food with friendly staff Sports on tv and a perfect beer garden. What more could you want.
Had been intending to try the Wig and Pen for some time, today we finally came along. We had the Sunday roast and it was excellent. The service was amazing and even thoug the place was very busy the young lads serving us gave us genuine attention., and took the time to talk to us. An all round positive experience, we will def be back again soon
The bar tender was very friendly and attentive. I had the steak pie which had lots of meat, served with fresh vegetables. My partner had chips with mushrooms, brie and cranberry which he enjoyed. We will definitely be back again!
Last minute choice for Sunday lunch. Service was exceptional with table service and hello with an allergy. Real ales on tap. Roast dinner looked great. Steak and ale pie very moreish. Desserts were even better - rhubarb and apple crumble had a toasty crunch topping and smooth custard.
Excellent value for money.
Highly recommended. We will be going back!
