pure luck we booked the New Dawn but what luck as the food and atmosphere is superb.
Our table 6 found the food to be incredibly generous in portion size and fantastic in taste. So good that before the desserts we’d already decided to return the next night, and had fingers crossed that they could fit us in. Even on a Wednesday they were busy, but that didn’t stop The staff enjoying a joke and interacting with the customers. The overall ambience is relaxed and welcoming. If you’re in the area and don’t visit this place, you are totally mad.
I have been highly recommend to come here by friends and family and it certainly didn’t disappoint. I had the steak and it was cooked to perfection just like all the other food, the quality of the food and small attention to detail is fantastic!
The service was also spot on and nothing was any trouble, all in all worth every penny and my new favourite pub.

During our visits we have always found the food to be incredibly generous in portion size and fantastic in taste.
The overall ambience is relaxed and welcoming and the waiting staff attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend a visit!
Been in to this establishment a few times, I must say the decor is lovely and has a nice friendly atmosphere. The staff are lovely and can not do enough for you, especially the pretty tall waitress with dark hair; always happy, smiling and going the extra mile. I definitely recommend �
Had a lovely meal on Saturday at lunch time. Early Fathers Day. The lunch menu was full of choice, portions were great, and our steaks were cooked perfectly. Only downside was no space for pudding! Service was excellent too. Definitely recommend.
First visit to the Dawn Inn and my friend and I were very impressed. Decor was lovely, fresh and clean. Food portion was huge and tasted great! Would definitely recommend and visit again. Prices were also great as well as friendly staff who provided awesome service.
Had the beer battered haddock....very fresh almost swimming on the plate it was that fresh. Size of portion was very big. Would definitely come here again.
Came for Sunday lunch luckily there was space to squeeze us in. Atmosphere was lovely and staff all really friendly and attentive. Food was an absolute treat delicious and tasty and very reasonably priced. Excited to come again to try more of the delicious menu.
Been here tonight for a family meal and can not recommend it enough the food was amazing and staff brilliant aswell will definitely be back.

The only negatives was that it was very hot in the main dining room when we went. (Not really their fault!) Plus the young waitresses need to smile more!
Me & my boyfriend came in tonight for dinner on my birthday , the lady waiting on us was so lovely and really friendly best service we’ve had in ages. And the food was incredible , second time I’ve been and constantly recommending to others! Thank you to the lovely staff who served us tonight �

From the outside, this doesn't look as special as it is inside.
A wonderful, warm, rustic atmosphere, impeccably clean.
The service was excellent and the food just fabulous. The superb lamb and fantastic pork belly and all accompanying vegetables were delicious.
We soooo wanted the tempting desserts, but we were so full up after our huge main, we just couldn't manage it.
Prices were very reasonable and food better than a local Michelin Guide pub that was so highly rated. We ate at both and there was no comparison, this was better by a mile and half the price.
We were so impressed we immediately booked for Sunday lunch.
Don't drive by, give it a try. You won't be disappointed
An absolute Gem highly recommended. The staff are fantastic and so helpful and welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious and extremely well presented. The portion sizes were definitely worth the money, however we can not comment on the desserts as we were so full we couldn't possibly squeeze one in (which is very unusual for us). I can not recommend this absolute Gem of a pub highly enough and we drove 40 miles there and back just to go there because it so good. Sorry about the photo of the lamb but I had already started tucking in.
We had a great lunch at at The New Dawn Inn, with great service.
The place was not too busy, with plenty of tables to choose from.
They have a small patio in the back, or a terrace at the front, if you prefer an outdoor table.
It's a modern pub, decorated with many pictures by two local artists.
The food was good and the portions generous. Prices are correct for a pub.
The menu offers traditional pub food, but also some other more sophisticated dishes and sandwiches.

My brother brought me dinner on my birthday and what fantastic changes have taken place since our last visit
Had dinner with my brother and sister in law.
First course was OK but the main course was disappointing, pan fried sea bass without crispy skin very soggy and no texture, pudding was OK.
Also not impressed with the front of house staff.
We visited the restaurant about one year ago and it was better then.
All in all not a memorable experience.
Did not live up to any previous reviews in my opinion.
What a difference six months has made.
As you can see from my previous review I was not impressed but this time what a difference, totally different atmosphere.
Front of house staff very helpful, friendly and professional, service improved 100% and the food was absolutely excellent, great flavours, textures and very well presented 👏.
Great brigade in the kitchen.
This time I left very happy as it rounded off one of the best birthdays I've ever had.
I would really recommend this restaurant and will definitely be going back there myself.

Returned to the New Dawn Inn and once again enjoyed a great experience, delicious well cooked food backed up with really good service maintaining a very high standard and again well deserved five star 🌟 review.
Visited for lunch whilst staying at a local hotel. The food was very tasty with generous portions and excellent gluten free choices. Returned the following evening for drinks to be greeted by the landlord and his staff who went out of their way to make us feel very welcome. This lovely country pub is really worth a visit.
Can well recommend The New Dawn Inn with a great team of staff who are efficient, friendly and service exceptional. The food has been served hot, presented well and very tasty. Nothing too much trouble when asked for extra gravy or custard. A proper pie as well with top and bottom pastry, meat nice and tender. Recommend the sticky toffee pudding, as well. Tips, only given in cash if you want to leave one , as no service charge on bill. At least we know the pot is shared out to all staff, which is good.
We’ve been here twice in the last few weeks for big family meals with our very young son & the staff have been so friendly & accommodating at all times I couldn’t recommend them enough! The food is always great & there’s always a good amount of room in the car park which makes it a lot easier travelling there.
Great birthday meal for my husband. It’s the 2nd time we’ve visited since the pub has changed hands and both times have been excellent.

Brilliant, fresh new pub! Serving classic pub food in a modern way. Everything seems to be made on site to a really high standard.
Service was excellent and staff friendly. Food took about 20mins to arrive (however it wasn't busy when we went).
There are vegetarian & vegan options (3 mains, one starter) - vegan pie was decent but way too filling for me! Menu said most dishes can be made gluten/dairy free on request.
Mains are around £12 per person on average. Steaks and fish were really good but vegetarian options were average.
Everywhere was fresh and very clean. Felt more like a restaurant than a pub which was a nice change - there's still a bar area though and plenty of people went there for drinks only.

Went yesterday for lunch, it was lovely.
Took our dog with us, he was treated to a bowl of water straight away.
Food was lovely, we started with the mushrooms, then had the pork belly. Oh my it just melted in your mouth.
Staff are very welcoming and friendly.
Can’t wait to pop in again and hopefully leave room to try a desert.
