One of my favourite local courses and arguably one of the best. It plays better in winter than most given the sandy sub soil. It’s an inland links and when the wind is up it can really feel like a true links. Condition is always outstanding and greens as good as it gets. The practice facilities are great and right in the door step of the club house which is also great.
Excellent facilities. They have recently installed irrigation which left some fairways in poor condition but this will repair eventually. Really enjoyed the food.
This place is absolutely fantastic. Have played at a number of local premium courses over the last few weeks but this is a true gem. Played here yesterday as Batchworth and Moor Park closed due to rain. Well done to the team at Sandy, the course is in pristine condition. The clubhouse is also extremely inviting and the staff are well trained.

Nice course with a variety of easy & difficult holes. Fairways were patchy in places, but they're carrying out some improvement work, so obviously not a permanent issue. Would definitely go again.
We’d travelled to the UK for a golfing holiday and Sandy Lodge was our last stop of a very busy few weeks. Unfortunately we played while the course was getting some major renovations done but that didn’t hinder our time there. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly(definitely the most friendly of the 12 courses we played) and it was an absolute pleasure to play. Special thanks to Sandy who provided amazing service in the bar all day and helped me with my bee sting.
If your a vegetarian do not go here The portions are tiny . It’s an insult. However if you eat meat it appears to be good
Held a surprise party for our mum at the golf club last night. All the staff were amazing and so helpful. The caterer was amazing! All the food was hand made and was delicious. All of our guests commented on both how good the food was and how much they enjoyed the venue. Thank you so much to everyone that works at sandy golf club we had the best night and will 100% be back!
It's always a pleasure to play Sandy Lodge .. Greens and tees are in fantastic shape.. fairways are good considering the amount of rain we've had recently.. The 19th hole Marquee is such a nice play to relax after a round.. Can't wait for my next game...
Excellent course with tricky greens and some very interesting holes. Very pleasant staff too. All in all a great experience. Thanks to Adam in the pro shop for making the experience worthwhile.
A beautiful first class course and friendly staff. The staff even made a meal for us even though the kitchen was closed.
The course is in top condition after having major investment for the Open qualifer. We will look forward to playing here again.
Brilliantly kept course. Groundsmen (people) take pride in what they do here. Possibly the best greens I've played. Fast and true!

I dont own any golf clubs. I may go and buy some because this looks ideal for a picnic with the kids.
