Now I haven’t been to Northwich for a few years, and when I had to work here for the day, I was recommended BEAR by one of my best friends. She knew I’d like the atmosphere and was she right! The staff were all lovely, service was quick, the food and drinks were great. Staff were also very quick to clean tables after people had left. I worked here for about 6 hours on my laptop, and it was nice to see a mix of people using the cafe. Feels like a community cafe, but very swish. Will be going back!
My family and I love to come here for a coffee and cake, sometimes lunch. The lattes are made very well and would highly recommend the billionaires shortbread. On the food menu, the tater tots are delicious and very generous portions, whilst the menu choice is wide-ranging.
The Scandinavian decor of the cafe is really pleasing to the eye and the staff are attentive. I also like that you can fill up on tap water yourself using the tap instead of having to ask someone. If you are going as a bigger group, make sure you book to ensure you get a table.

Lovely addition to Northwich, perfect spot for brunch. Fast service and tasty food. The current special of sweetcorn fritters with whipped feta is amazing - highly recommended!
Nice selection of cakes too, many of which are vegan. The blueberry Bakewell slice is particularly good!
Amazing place for great breakfast and brunch offerings. Great loyalty card scheme and lovely atmosphere. Location is great and the staff are all really friendly and accommodating. Would recommend fully to anybody. Haven't tried the late-night offerings yet but keen to give them a try one day also!
Gorgeous breakfast here today.... Aside from that I would like to thank the staff and customers for helping with a choking incident with my 3 year old. Everyone rushed to help and thankfully after a very tense minute, we managed to dislodge. She is fine and I'm forever grateful for their support and kindness.

Amazing! Friendly and welcoming staff, truly amazing food, fantastic cocktails, and the coffee is without doubt, the best in Northwich! One of the amazing staff members explained to us how they train new members on how to make the perfect coffee, and it really does show. So greatful to have such an amazing place locally, and a credit to our town. Went here for breakfast, I had the Buddha bowl and a passion fruit margarita whilst husband had banana and berry pancakes. Both plates not only looked really pretty but tasted yummy. Place has air conditioning and a nice view out over the river. Lovely way to start the morning
We always love coming to Bear for brunch, but have come for the second time on a Saturday night and the food and cocktails are fantastic! Honestly, the food could not be better and the atmosphere and service is brilliant. Would highly recommend!
Went to BEAR 🐻 as I was moored right next to it, plus it looked kind of nice from the outside.
I ordered the full breakfast & my partner had the vegetarian breakfast.
The man whom served us (he had a beard) couldn't do enough to help, even bringing a bowl of fresh water to out table outside for our dog. He was polite & helpful even though it was a roasting hot day & you could see he was feeling every second of the heat, poor chap 😰...
Our food looked absolutely divine 😋 & tasted excellent, all quality ingredients & no cheap & cheerful elements at all.
We decided on the spot that we would so definitely be revisiting this establishment the following week when we are next in the area.
Well done all & keep it up, places to eat like yours are very rare indeed...
Second time we’ve been to the Friday / Saturday evening food session, can’t recommend enough! Food is incredible, smash patty burgers are delicious and the 2for1 cocktails are artisan and so beautifully crafted! 5*

First visit here and the food was lovely! Reserved a little table next to the window so had a view over the canal!
Love to come here for brunch or coffee. Sit outside for people watching and views of the river, or inside for a cosy and bustling atmosphere. Food is always great, plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.
Great place for a coffee and or a snack. Good vibes and attentive staff.
Service was friendly despite them clearly being busy. The food was fast, hot and delicious. The drinks were amazing as well. We would definitely return. There was a great variety as well with options you'd expect to find and also completely original options.
