Just stopped in doing a 21 mile walk for a little girl with Cancer. Donationed to us and free drink thank you so much very friend and lovely dogs:)
Had fab time new year's eve company was amazing music was ace good time all round x
Spent the night here camping and the view was amazing friendly owners and bar team and just all round friendly people had a little walk down to see the animals and sat watching the sunset deffo gonna be a regular visit for an inexpensive night away here and there. Showers and toilets spotless!!

Lovely localhost and amazing spot to set up for the night, they order food in from recommended eateries and the staff and families on site are so friendly
Fabulous friendly pub. Just reopened when we visited so things were a little clunky, but all very relaxed.
Definitely worth a visit. I'm certainly going back.

This is a proper little country pub where the landlady, Carol, and her family make you feel so, so welcome. It's a classy little place with lovely decor and the locals are chatty and friendly.
Stayed here last night (21/05/22) in our campervan, great campsite on our doorstep, really friendly people, Michelle is really nice and welcoming, will definitely be back. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
We have stayed many times over the last few years on the camping site at the back of the pub with our touring caravan. Quiet location with electric hook up if required overlooking Delamere forest. The added bonus of a pub on site with weekend entertainment. A handy base for Chester, Oulton Park race track and other local attractions. I believe it is due for a major refurbishment into a restaurant very soon.
I first remember the place 30 years ago when i borrowed my dads caravan and pulled up on site(thank god because i had brake faliure towing a caravan!!!)But it was 30 years ago,woman was very welcoming and friendly as i had been desparate to unhitch there.Cant say about what its like now,but sure there was a train in the distance and the pub was nice and cosy.
Great atmosphere, loved the outdoor space, great choice of drinks and a great pit stop when we were on our walk.
I know that this is a family business. Therefore, it is a very warm and beautiful place!)

Cheap and cheerful, have electric hookups for tents/tourers. They have a pub (wohoo) and its right next to the forrest. Ideal for a cycling stop.
Just had a pint here while cycling. Lovely pub, nice gardens, didn't try food though
Very friendly site. Well run, relaxed, with stunning views. Enjoyed a lovely chilled weekend. I will return again.
