Food was great. Not too expensive and great deals on the menu. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend calling in if your in the location.
I've recently started coming here with my daughter for lunch at the weekends and holidays.
It's a great place loads of room inside and what looks like a massive outdoor seating area and sports viewing area (a giant screen, it must be great atmosphere in when the weather is good).
One good thing is that it's a Greene King pub, so I get to use my Veteran's discount, and they accept the blue light discount too.
The food is really nice. (We go to the White Barn in Cuddington quite a lot and the food is still similar), however it has the all the sizzling steaks, more burger options and lots of other extra stuff too.
We love the Halloumi and loaded fries and you have try a sizzling steak on a bed of peppers and onions.
The facilities are really clean and well maintained.
The staff are all friendly, today they were a Halloween event and bingo for kids which all the kids looked like they really enjoyed it.
There's an outdoor play area and loads of outdoor seating.
It's easy to get to and loads of parking.
Well worth the visit.
First ever visit to a busy, but seemingly very well run and popular pub / restaurant. Extremely good service and nicely cooked hunter's chicken and perfect medium rare steak. Live music later on and an overall really good experience.
Absolutely outstanding food and service all around.
It was that good when I visited on Sunday that I decided to cancel a reservation elsewhere and took my friend.
Aaron, the barman & Meghan who served our food, we're very welcoming and friendly 😀
Great pub food with a great atmosphere.
I'll most definitely be returning
What a fantastic venue this is. Set in a huge old black and white former stately home and large grounds with lots of parking spaces to the front and an expansive beer garden to the rear.
I visited multiple occasions with friends to watch the live football on their multitude of TV screens scattered around the venue and sample one of their MANY different beers which range from £2.30 to £5.10 a pint. On the occasions I visited with my wife and two young children we have eaten there from their expansive but regularly changing menu with their food being better than reasonable and service quick to one of their many tables inside or out. The children live playing out back in and around their enclosed woodland areas or in their small play area.
To finish I'd like to mention the staff who are all friendly and welcoming and all want to help. I remember one time my 6 year old dropped her just delivered fish and chips on the floor smashing the plate and resigned to having to go and buy another one I was told that the chef said that I wasn't to pay and that he would replace it for me free of charge! Such a lovely gesture.
I highly recommend this place for everyone.
Fourth time here and still a lovely experience and amazing food.
We love coming to the lodge with our family. We have two little ones and always feel so comfortable here. The staff are brilliant with the kids, and the food is always great too. Cassie, Meghan, Sarah and Natalie are all fab!
Very friendly staff, food was the standard affair for a flaming grill and as always the Ice Breaker on draft was good. Little tired in side but overall a pleasant experience.
We have been here twice and absolutely love it!! Become our favourite local spot! Food is value for money, delicious and the portions are massive
We use the Lodge for our Nortwich Guitar Club socials and I am never disappointed. Good food great prices , very relaxed atmosphere and they have Deperado !!! What's not to like
Food good especially for the price. Staff weren't that great. There was one lady who was doing her best despite being heavily pregnant but others were sat around on the phone, drinking outside and one eating a burger at the bar. Nice setting with large outside seating area. Good size car park.
It is a short walk from where I live and call in now and again with friends or family for a meal. The last time my wife and I went for a meal there was a live rock band on . We stayed after a lovely meal and jived to some of the music. People were asking us to get up and dance again as they liked watching us but we are both in our late seventies and my wife has breathing problems.
Food was delicious, a bit shy with the portion of chips but it's the same everywhere else. Loads on the menu to choose from. The venue is massive inside, lots of little snugs to hide away in. The decor and the funny signs on the wall. Beer garden, play area, for kids of course, and service with a smile.
Their food is amazing I've been to The Lodge like 10 and I always get something different and it's always lovely .
4 stars as it was not that visit but previous visits 5 in all 3 food is really good and good value
I would give to this pub out of scale stars ,however cannot understand why order food take so much time once we've been waiting nearly half an hour on the other hand went last Sunday we've got food instantly i get it that job market suffer so much from lack of people to fill the gap but we've been surprised so much when the food finally landed on table.
The quality of food is just outstanding particularly sizzling pieces of meat 🍖 instantly melts in the mouth.
We live in Manchester but we aim to move to the Nortwich or near by.
If it was up to me I would give as was being said out of scale as a overall being as a resident Nortwich which I hope is only be matters of time I would make proposal to the manager of launching scheme the permanent discount card for loyalty customers.
Hope that is would be nice idea worth to adapt it as soon as possible.
All in all I would recommend this pub with no hesitation particulary for food, accessibility and location too.
If this review would help anyone it would make me happy.
Very demanding 🫴 customer.
