Met with other boaters here and was made to feel so very welcome, ordered food which came quickly (gorgeous lamb). Only downside was a lack of cask ales but after the heatwave who can blame people for rushing to have some!

Absolutely loved our visit! Food was delicious and plentiful. Very reasonably priced and served in quick shape time. The landlady welcomed us like we were old friends and made my whole family feel at home. Would definitely come back when we are next in the area and 110% recommend for everyone to visit this gem of a pub!

Lovely pub near the Anderton Lift! While moored up for the night we walked over and enjoyed the warmth of both the building and friendly staff. The food was quite delicious and drinks cold. Hope to be back!

Had a lovely home made Steak pie and home made chips Only 2 ales on offer but this could be that its quiet before busy summer months Dog friendly if you sit outside or in a small bar area wher there is only 2 tables. Dogs are banned from main large room in pub

Best pub in and around Northwich. Stunning food, a great selection of drinks, and the friendliest staff you will ever meet. The landlady, Mo, cannot do enough for you and runs a right ship to make sure everything is spot on. The garden gets sun almost all hours of the day so you can relax with in ice-cold drink, or sit down on the decking by the canal and watch the world go by. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Good value, basic pub fayre in pleasant surroundings. There is a large garden running down to the canal, with moorings. This is a good pub to combine with a visit to the nearby Anderton Boat Lift

Been here a few times as we pass on our narrowboat, food is fabulous and portions are very generous. Staff are always friendly and loads of space outside in garden. Had the curry myself.

Popped in on a Sunday, Didn’t book, so not sure we’d get a table as it was busy, staff couldn’t have been more helpful, got us sat nice and quick, great food, great service 👍🏻
