We came to celebrate my parents golden wedding anniversary (16.6.18). As the party was of 19 people we pre-ordered our food which was easy to do and got back to me to say they had received it. The food was fabulous and everyone enjoyed it. The staff were helpful in every way. My Mum and Dad had a complementary glass of fizz. They allowed us to decorate the area with balloons and banners. Thank you for making their Anniversary a memorable one We would definitely recommend and we will be going back again.

I’ve been back to the Arms now three times within two weeks and I cannot fault anything about it. The food was incredible and really reasonable in price. Love the new decor and atmosphere too, I went in loads when the old owners had it and it’s equally as good as it was back then. Nothing to fault.

We usually go to The George & Dragon in Holmes Chapel so I was thrilled to hear that the Landlord was opening The Antrobus Arms which is closer to us. We went today for Fathers Day and it was amazing. The atmosphere was friendly, the food was beautiful and the staff went above and beyond. It's so refreshing to see that the same high quality runs through both pubs and every detail has carefully been thought about. Absolutely well done! Can't wait to go back.

We stopped off here on our way back from holiday as we were still a couple of hours from home, didn't fancy a service station dinner and wanted somewhere that wasn't far from the M56. Upon arrival we were immediately seated in a corner with our border collie who was promptly provided with a water dish and pack of dog treats. The food was excellent, always nice to see a steak pie in a full pie crust (not just the lid) the staff were friendly, service was excellent and as an added bonus we were informed by another customer that it's a family-run business. Would definitely recommend.

Cannot fault it. Food is excellent. The rarebit pie is possibly the best pie I have ever had. Setting is lovely, a warm cosy pub but with a modern look. Great range of local real ales. The only thing better than the food is the service. All the waiting staff I have had when I have gone there have been excellent. Very attentive and welcoming. Best pub around and the 5 star service which unfortunately is rare these days. Bag of dog treats is a really nice touch too.

Great stop over on route to the lakes. Lovely food, and staff were really great, we arrived to a full car park and had to park the motorhome, a very nice lady came out to let us know where to park and that there would be people leaving shortly to make it easier to get some space. We arrived to get some food and another lady brought our dog Teddy some water and a bag of treats. He had lots of fuss! Couldn't fault the food or service. We will be back.

This place is an outstanding find! Picked at random as a halfway point to meet family and what a treat. The food was amazing and the staff beyond lovely! Also has a very dog friendly pub which is a rare find but they have a dedicated area for your furry friends! I’d highly recommend a visit and will in due course be visiting again! Thank you so much for your wonderful food and service!

The beer here is consistently excellent. Weetwood always on and usually 2 guest beers often with Spitting feathers (Chester). The staff here are always very helpful and smiley. Food is consistently excellent. Last night early doors and a bite to eat with a friend. Steak and ale pie chips and veg with gravy. Tender large chunks of beef with great favour pastry excellent and not too heavy. My pal reckoned it was the best had ever had. What a great place to visit.

We walked into Antrobus Arms, and we were welcomed so warmly by a lovely, very smart young woman. We told her we hadn't booked, and she said not to worry that she would find a table for us, and she did. We were given the menus, and our drinks order was taken immediately. Our starters arrived quickly by very pleasant staff. The serving staff arrived with our main course before we had finished our starters. I eat slow, and on this occasion, my partner hadn't finished his starter either, and so they had to take it back to the kitchen. They were busy, but they brought out our main course eventually, and I had the roast dinner. It was delicious. I had the mixed fruit crumble for dessert and felt slightly disappointed because it tasted a little bland, but it has a lovely crunch to it. Overall, we enjoyed our first experience here today.

Really nice food. Kids food was good quality too my 5 year old twins cleared their plates which is high praise indeed. We had the pies (Steak / Rarebit), they were delicious and very hearty.

Fantastic Pub!! 😁😁 Stopped off on the way to North Wales for the night… they allow touring caravans, camper vans and motor homes to stay overnight in their paddock for £10 per night. The paddock was a little soft due to all the rain (July 2023) so we were advised to pitch up at the back of the car park. Food was amazing and good value. The wife and I had fish and chips (the fish…. WOW!) and the kids had goujons. We all had desert. The kids had dinky donuts with chocolate sauce that went down a treat 😁 Wait times were very reasonable too considering how busy the pub was on a Friday evening/night. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier (Katherine and Maisie)… they had a laugh and joke with the kids and even brought over some colouring books and crayons. Thank you so much. Lovely little beer garden out the back with a small kids area. Great atmosphere and warm feel. Dog friendly also 🐶 Will definitely stop again if heading back to North Wales 👍🏼

Really lovely good pub food. Their steak pie is a masterpiece but deceptively large! There is clearly a lot of care taken with all ingredients so every mouthful is great. Staff are lovely too, and it's very dog friendly.

A fantastic midweek evening. The food was lovely. Three of us had the signature steak and ale pie which didn't disappoint. 😋 The staff were brilliant and attentive and they even looked after the dogs when we arrived with water ad treats. Only wish I hadn't been driving so that I could have tried more of the cask ales.
