What a lovely experience. The two ladies made us feel very welcome and we also got a fascinating history lesson from Belinda on tea and how high teas originated. Worth every penny. Large selection of teas. All produce locally sourced. We were served so much we had to take cakes home in a box. Highly recommended experience

A lovely idea, a combination afternoon tea, came beautifully presented with a small cream rose too. The scones are in a separate box. All is so tasty Taking it easy as its filling, loose tea is so tasty and havd scones to look forward to later. Highly recommended as a treat.

Ordered afternoon tea at home - it was absolutely delicious! The sandwiches are very tasty, nice selection of filling and the bread is so soft! You get enough cakes to last you two days - we've yet to manage eating them all in one sitting (the photo doesn't show all the cakes - we had to put some on a separate plate!)! Again, fabulous selection and they taste amazing - plus you get scones with clotted cream and a selection of jams. Also love the selection of tea you get - very generous, providing a lovely tin of tea. The afternoon tea itself is beautifully packaged in boxes with a bow tied around it. Can't wait to order again - lovely to treat yourself at home and certainly brightened up our Saturday afternoon, we enjoyed this along with a bottle of champagne! Highly recommend!

Well deserving of it's place in The Times top twenty tea rooms, a very well appointed room with staff in period costume set the afternoon off to an excellent start. The information and guidance on the many types of tea was most interesting, the sandwiches, cakes and scones all home made or locally sourced were excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish and extremely good value as well.

An absolute gem of a place, wish I'd found it sooner! Great for friends and families and the Llamas in the paddock next door were a lovely surprise! The afternoon tea is just wonderful bit even more so if you love Alice in wonderland as the whole tea room is styled after the original book. Everywhere you look there are little trinkets and treasures from the wooden hare doll that sits in the corner to the fantastic red queen cuckoo clock. Oh and there is a life size chess game outside too! The staff are very knowledge about their teas and you can purchase most of them from the farm shop, with also has pies and various cheeses. There is alot of care and attention to detail here and those who want to try something new or expand on their knowledge of tea would do well to visit.

Absolutely charming little place. Found it by accident, but will certainly be going back. Proper little olde worlde tea room set in a peaceful location. There are many blends of teas and coffees, brewed just to your choice. Delicious! There are also various animals around the grounds which do a very good job as PR reps. Will definitely be returning soon. Just been to the Victorian Christmas Afternoon Tea, you have to experience it! It's wonderful and gets you in the spirit of yuletide with the beautiful decorations and seasonal food. Delicious!

Fabulous little place, if you like oldie worldie places with style then this is right up your street. Beautiful food taste and presentation. Over 50 different Teas to chose from. There's a ladies boutique upstairs and a florist next to the tea room. A hair salon outside and nail and treatment cabin outside. I definitely recommend to try as a treat.

What a wonderful experience! I booked (telephone call) an afternoon tea experience for myself and partner for her birthday as she loves all things tea! What a perfect place it was too! Right from the off, Davenports certainly didn’t disappoint! We both had the Traditional afternoon tea and selected a light green tea to pair. Prior to the afternoon tea being presented, Belinda discussed the history behind the different types of tea leaves and her knowledge is second to none. Both myself and partner came away from the experience knowing the correct process on how to brew particular tea types (I no longer have bitter green tea - thank you!) The afternoon tea was presented beautifully and came with a selection of delicious sandwiches, scones and cakes with varying fillings such as potted beef (our favourite), cheese, ham and cucumber just to name a few. The cakes were excellent and our favourite being the raspberry profiterole was light and creamy and packed flavour! The afternoon tea comes with two large scones and we chose Belinda’s cheese and lavender on this occasion. Both were light and fluffy and matched the clotted cream, jam and quince perfectly. During the experience Belinda suggested we opt for the ‘Tea tasting’ which meant we were able to sample a selection of different tea types. We opted for a selection of green teas all with subtle changes in flavour and a couple of ‘Smokey’ teas as per recommended. The whole experience was sublime. The food and service was excellent and Belinda (+team) certainly made a birthday celebration one to remember. Thank you again!

Our first visit here as part of a gift for afternoon tea, we were looked after by the proprietor & a lady who worked there, everything was explained to us regarding where the food & beverages are sourced. This is a proper Victorian tea room, tables are nicely spaced apart & the tearoom has a cosy feel, & friendly atmosphere. This is the nicest afternoon tea that we have had & can understand why it is popular.
