Went on Saturday evening 29/4/17 for my sons 13th birthday and we had a brilliant time. The food was great, prices were super low, there were 5 of us and we all ate for less then £60 total including drinks !! Amazing value and the portions were HUGE!! The staff were great and never ignored you, don't understand some of the reviews as we found everything to be awesome and we will definitely be going again.
American diner next to the travel lodge at Sixfields, went here twice during our stay for the Sixfields Rock Festival, food was excellent (and plenty of it) free refills on Tea and Coffee, staff were friendly and overall attentive, prices are reasonable as well, great place for breakfast

The atmosphere was really good, it felt like you were in a real American diner, the food was amazing!

Can't go wrong with a buddies!! Huge choice available! Customer service is excellent, the waitresses are always super friendly and were engaging with my youngest daughter.
I ordered my burger but I made it a super special order so it fell under my diet regime and they were only too happy to help. Nothing was too much trouble for them!
As usual, burger was great! Atmosphere of the restaurant is lively but not distractingly so.
All in all, a great evening!
Really generous sized kids portions (kids are free as part of the summer holiday mid week offer) and adult sized portions. Loved the chunky chilli I had with the burger so much I'll have it in its own with rice next time. Fantastic waitress, very friendly.
Nice local diner. I went for the first time ever with my girlfriend. Most of the staff were very nice and helpful but one didn't seem bothered and got my drink order wrong. My burger was massive and it wasn't even the biggest size but it tasted great. Had so many different burgers to choose from. It's a very funky American decor in there which I enjoyed. Would go again
The place was neat and spacious. The atmosphere really felt like one were in the U.S. Staff were helpful and friendly. The food portions were huge like in the states. I esp loved the model train that went around the restaurant. My son really enjoyed it.

An update on my previous review (below).
Once again Rib eye from the Fixed Price menu. Had a starter this time, Black Pudding and Hash Browns. Excellent, hit with a nice runny egg on top and Hollandaise sauce. Rib eye was cooked well and as required, chips were hot and cooked well, Slaw was not watery as before.
Service was good, I was advised of a wait when I arrived, though it turned out not to be that long.
Will definitely be back, much better than motorway food when going to a match at Sixfields.

Ordered the 10oz Rib eye steak from the Fixed Price menu. The steak was only about 4mm thick and I would question the uncooked weight of 10oz., I ordered medium so expecting nice and pink in the middle. The steak turned up Well Done, there was no visible marbling that gives a rib eye it's extra flavour and the steak was rather tough and completely lacking in flavour. The chips were also overcooked. The home made coleslaw was extremely watery. After eating my steak I was asked if I wanted to wait a few minutes before having my pudding. After replying yes my pudding turned up less than a minute later.
Based on main course and service only 1 star, the second star is for the tasty chocolate cheesecake.
Not somewhere I will be visiting again in a hurry
Food 🍲 was delicious and decent portions. I would recommend booking a table in advance however if weather is good you are welcome to take advantage of outside seating. Got really busy at the time when I was there but staff worked really well and food was served promptly. I do recommend to ask for condiments in advance if you are seated outside. All on all is a good place to visit.
Love the style of the place! Quick service I always go for the all day breakfast which is nice and large and all tasty I never leave any of the food to waste! Menu is really big with several options would recommend for a quick lunch/ dinner
Not been back to Buddies for a couple of months so first time to see the new breakfast menu.
All day breakfast was great, love the coffee and our service was with a smile. I suggest go early because it filled up pretty quick.
A pleasant surprise we stumbled upon on a late evening stop off for petrol coming off the M1. Good portions and friendly staff. We will return as they do breakfast and a kids menu. 5 star as food was served quick and plenty to choose from.
We booked a table as it was Christmas Bank Holiday and we expected it to be busy. Seated quickly by an attentive and friendly waitress we worked through the extensive menu and were grateful for some clarifications from the waitress to help with our order.
A short wait as the restaurant was busy but when food came there was plenty of it, almost too much for some of our group, though staff were happy to organise a doggy bag :)
Overall a good experience, with friends we attended with having eaten here numerous times without issue. We'd certainly return again.
