I ordered via the Uber Eats app, and once delivered noticed the chips were a very short portion.
So why 5 stars?
Until this point I have had no issues what so ever with either their service or food, and once I called to complain, I was advised they would prepare a fresh replacement to collect.
First time going in the staff were very kind and professional, and the atmosphere was great, I received the sweet potato chips along with onion rings and a sorry message on the packaging. This to me is 5* service.
The ability to turn around a slight one off oversight, with the customer experience in mind, compounded with great service, to me does not warrant a loss of a star.
Unfortunately, I didn't get their name, but the young woman who handled my complaint was working behind the bar and had black hair, and so should her manager see this, I hope they receive recognition for both their friendly, and professional call handling and service.
Credits also to the welcoming staff at the entrance.
Staff were really lovely. Arrived with a hungry toddler, and they went out of their way to be super helpful. One of the staff made a balloon dog within minutes of us sitting down & and toddlers' fish & chips food very quickly. The food was good, just never enough veg for me as TGI Friday & the pina coladas were more like slush puppies. Yuk! But yes, I'd go again. Lovely atmosphere, great staff. 3 adults & toddler cost £90, starters & main course so good value.
Expensive but worth it. Not a single disappointing thing about the entire visit. Food was outstanding, drinks were great but best of all was the service by Josh. Great to see someone who appears to enjoy work and not seem like serving people is a chore. Very friendly, warm and a great sense of humour. Knowledgeable about the menu, and a massive credit to TGIs. Thank you Josh. Keep it up.
Very pleased with the experience had here Saturday night, for a birthday. Cheyenne was fabulous and very attentive. As were all the staff.
I shared the Wall-to-Wall chicken sharer with my partner and it was the perfect amount for a small dinner meal 😋
The only tiny gripe was the loudness of the music, it was quite distracting but I appreciate and understand that its the style of establishment.
Overall a 5 star review for TGI Friday's Northampton
The good stuff: Great and cheerful place to eat, it always has been. The staff are very attentive, and helpful. Absolutely cannot fault it. Cocktails are delicious, and so were the rest of the drinks. Me and my partner also really enjoyed the vegan nachos (starter). It was a decent portion, and very tasty.
The bad stuff: The main courses. So, it wasn't bad, however I feel like when you're charging £15 for a main course, it should be a lot better quality. The burgers are tasty, but they lack size (especially for their price). Chips are just chips at the end of the day, however during my recent visit, I noticed I got lots of small and sharp chip ends in my portion.
The main courses need at least a 10% price reduction in my opinion, if the quality stays the same. For reference, I had a chicken burger which was tasty, but it was a small chicken breast inside, along with a small portion of chips, and a dip.
To summarise - TGIs isn't bad, the service, drinks and some dishes are great, and it's nice as a treat. Just very expensive when you take into consideration portion sizes.
TGI's exceeded my expectations. From the food, to the staff, to the drinks, my husband I had no complaints. Finn, our waiter, served us excellently and with humour and manners. He was attentive to my husband's allergy and had a ready smile when delivering our meals. Kaci and Chloe at the bar were also amazing with their service, and making our drinks with flair while sharing quick wit. Definitely going to make this our no. 1 spot!
Really quick service and good food. Knocked 1 star off as we ordered medium rare steaks that came with 0 pink in them. They were still juicy and nice so didn't complain but was more like well done.
Excellent service and good gluten free options. Need more gluten free dessert options. Can recommend the warrior fries and the gluten free bun for the burger was excellent. No allergy menu but give you a card with a QR code to view the allergen menu - see photo
Thank you TGI’s for such a lovely birthday meal. Not easy as they had quite a few big tables in last night including our own. The service was great. Staff all very friendly and all seemed happy to be there and make sure our night went smoothly. Thank you again
Food was on point and staff friendly, I visited on a week day and it wasn't too busy so had a nice atmosphere. Definitely head there again soon
Great service. Nice food. Really pricey for what you get though. The ribs were a lot sweeter tasting than normal.
