Had a wonderful time with my family this Sunday celebrating mum's 75th birthday. Everything was excellent from the moment we walked in the door. Can't recommend it more highly!
We came in last night. The staff are amazing, the food is unbelievable and the prices for food of this quality are great. We will be coming back very soon. Well worth the 25 mile drive.

Situated within a champagne bar, one would not except to get delicious Indian cuisine.
We were a group of 11, and each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

We are visitors to Northampton and were taken here by our hosts. They live in Wellingborough and we have known them for years. We did come here about 3 years ago and the quality of the experience and the food is still absolutely excellent. The staff are attentive without it being overbearing, the food is varied and tasty but given its a buffet really fresh. Well done for keeping a good consistent standard with a smile.
Good food, polite staff. The Sunday buffet is superb value. £14.50 for all you want, the food is very tasty, fresh and has a great variety. The live Jazz was a wonderful touch too. My only issue was the starters are so delicious it's hard to leave room for the mains!
Nice and clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and willing to go through the menu. The service were very good and not at all intrusive. Food was also cooked really well and tasted great! Would definitely recommend.
Too many Indian restaurants serve bland food where all the dishes taste the same. Here, things are different, with every dish being unique, and the meat quality is excellent - whether chicken or lamb. If I have a criticism, it's the slightly restrictive takeaway menu and the fact they don't open on Sundays.
Overall, though, a superb place to eat in, and well above average for takeaways.
Have been to this restaurant on several occasions now and have always had a positive experience. I really like the lounge area where you can peruse the menu and order when ready while having a drink and a natter. This is all very relaxed. The food has always been very good, very tasty, well spiced. One of my favourite Indian restaurants.

My wife celebrated her birthday on a Sunday this year so I decided to try the Mem Saab restaurant in Northants. I still feel good after eating there!...The whole eating experience was worth every second. The whole place was beautifully humble and not trying to be something it wasn't but once I tried the food I realised it didn't have to...the strength of the place lies in its approach to food and the eating experience....relaxed, tasty dishes. One of Northamptonshires best kept secrets...a hidden Gem. Even with half a dozen starters and half a dozen mains on offer, nothing more was necessary...just a perfect lunch with my family. The Mem-Saab sits at the apex of Indian food. Everything was just right. Couldn't have found friendlier staff...really impressed and definitely returning to eat here. The live Jazz musician played throughout the time I spent there and even though I'm not a fan, it actually fitted nicely and added a tangible feel good factor with a definite element of 'It's Sunday lets relax'. My compliments to everyone working there collectively you made it amazing.
The lamb is really really good. The staff is just amazing. Everytime I come to England from the states, I have to come here. This is not only one of the best Indian restaurants, but one of the best restaurants period! I have to give a shout out to Suraj! He does everything!
Beautiful food made as spicy or as mild as you like. One of the best places I've been for this cuisine. Staff are excellent and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing.
I have been a customer of Mem-Saab 6 times now, one of those times the meal was okay nothing special but that might have been my fault for trying something new. The other 5 times including a Sunday lunch time my meal has been perfect and mouth watering.
Too many times we go out of our way to express a negative experience but how many of us take time out to praise a service when it has been good.
The staff are always friendly and I would recommend Mem-Saab to anyone. We are all struggling to survive in the worst economic climate we have known and someone complains that a plate was slightly faded
Great restaurant, fantastic decor, great food, owner pays attention to what you say and is interested in your comments.
Only one niggle, floor staff dont really keep a eye on the back part of the restaurant which seems to be on no mans land, when i was there some clients including myself just couldn't get there attention, apart from that perfect, also the bar next door is a must, perfection all the way.
Excellent as usual. Great choice of food, good service, friendly helpful staff. Added bonus of live music on Sunday. Highly recommended.

The decor is contemporary, which is pleasant.

Upmarket curry restaurant. Come here for the Sunday buffet and eat all you can. Great selection of starters. The musicians they hire for Sunday's are also normally very good.
