Today was mine and my husbands first visit. We went with our friends for one of their birthdays. We didnt mention it was a birthday celebration as the birthday girl wouldnt let us. However we were treated like royalty... the service was the best we have ever experienced. Peter was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food was amazing and reasonably priced for the portion sizes, in fact they are very generous. The rhubarb martini is just delicious, the Prosecco and beer were also very nice. We will definitely be returning with our children and parents. Really liked the function room and its decor very in keeping with the medieval theme.
I had long time go somewhere and be that much satisfied. The food was AMAZING, the portions size were more than enough, the food quality, the environment !!!! Everything was perfect! Ralph, the restaurant hosts was so polite and helpful, he put some Greek music for us, he explained everything about the food as we had lots of questions and made us feel more than welcome! I highly highly recommend this beautiful restaurant with this delicious food !! Thank you so much Ralph! You are a legend ! We are really appreciate the service today! Atmospheric place. We wanted to go somewhere a bit different and this ticked all the boxes. Food was superb. Staff were brilliant.
We visited for an early evening dinner on 21st October. Our waiter was very 'on point' and made our evening even better with his blend of professionalism, honesty and humour. The food was seasoned well enough and the portions were quite generous. I would go again and recommend a visit!

Nice food served by friendly and helpful staff! The interior is interesting with walls being decorated with hunting trophies and medieval guns.
Fantastic food! The blue steaks were truly blue, the vegetables were perfectly cooked and beautifully seasoned, and the langustines sublime. The decor is very fitting given the name of the restaurant, see if you can identify all the portraits! Well worth the expense, we will be back. My only worry is that it was very quiet, I don't want it to go under because we want to go back!
Friendly service, excellent food and something different in terms of interior design. This is an excellent place for lunch which is great value for money! The evening a la carte menu offers a wide range of food at reasonable prices. For lunch I had homemade veg soup and trout for just £6.50 both of which were excellent. Our waiter Michel could not have been friendlier! Highly recommended!!!
