The food was great the price was good too the waiters were funny they keat droping the food on the floor but they were new so we told them don't worry ☺️
Came here for food and drinks by boat of all things as it has moorings for barges and boats as it sits next to a river/canal.
Was a lovely sunny day when we went so we sat in the large outside seating area next to the river.
Food was lovely and not too expensive staff were friendly.
Lovely, friendly pub. Lunch and dinner both delicious. Would particularly recommend the sea bass and scallop dish. Staff were friendly and always there at the right time. Also, very convenient for the Holiday Inn opposite. Will definitely be back.
My wife and I ate here last night as we were staying locally. I have to say that the welcome we received - including the love shown to our dog - was absolutely fabulous. The food was great and the service level outstanding. All in all, a great evening. We'll definitely be returning.
Had a great lunch at Britannia which is a little gem on the edge of Northampton. Service was great, the food came out hot, in good time & you could tell it was freshly prepared. Portion sizes mean you won't leave on an empty stomach but there is still space for something after and we managed to grab

We've booked for a Sunday roast. The food was incredible, really tasty, and a great portion size too. Very friendly staff, Laura was our server and I must say she was really lovely.

We went on a Saturday morning at around 11 and Sam was our host. He welcomed us warmly and made us feel very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice but it was understandably empty due to being so early. Sam made our experience very positive and we will be going again

Staff were very friendly and the food was great. Weather was fantastic and made sitting out by the canal glorious. An absolute must visit if you’re looking for a great meal or a Sunday roast!
It's a nice pub. The food is better than most in the area and the service is always top notch. We frequent the outside seating area which is right next to the Nene which is a novelty. Only downside is, the wasps are so consistent I'm starting to think they are on the payroll.
Been to the Britannia a few times now and it never fails! Staff are very friendly and welcoming with a great atmosphere. A delicious Sunday roast with a view of the canal is a dream, cannot wait to go again😁
