Overall was a pleasant experience, staff was friendly, the food was tasty, background music was not loud. The only downside was handling the double doors with a wheelchair and some idiot parked right in front of the ed doorway blocking the disabled ramp access. Which was no fault of the pub.

I recently had a delightful experience at Beefeater Turnpike, and I must say, Ellie truly made it exceptional. Her service was top-notch, and she displayed remarkable attentiveness and organisation throughout my visit. Despite being incredibly busy, she seemed to effortlessly handle everything on her own, leaving a positive impression on everyone.
Ellie's dedication was truly commendable, as she tirelessly catered to the needs of the guests without stopping. I was particularly impressed with her performance during breakfast, where she continued to shine brightly. Her friendly demeanour and professionalism should be acknowledged and rewarded by the management.
Although my experience was mostly positive, there was a slightly disconcerting incident involving a staff member, whom I believe to be the duty manager. Witnessing him becoming aggressive and engaging in physical actions towards objects was unusual and unsettling.
Nevertheless, Ellie's exceptional service overshadowed this unfortunate incident. She truly stands out as an asset to the Beefeater Turnpike team, and I wholeheartedly recommend her for a well-deserved promotion. Kudos to Ellie for making my dining experience memorable and leaving a lasting impression. I look forward to returning and enjoying her excellent service again!

Staying at the premier Inn next to the restaurant and a great place for food. The kit kat sundae takes some eating, as there's so much of it, so save some room.
Came in for a coffee for business. Was very much impressed by the greeting and professional friendliness of the bar tender Alex (I asked for his name as he deserves this review) π A relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Fair prices too. ππ½
My go too place, always end up back here with family. Cosy, staff very friendly and attentive ( my wife has major food allergies ) the staff always cater precisely for her allergies. Food is always done right and nice. Keep up the good work!!
I went to the Turnpike with a few friends for a bite to eat and a few drinks and we had the most wonderful experience. Our sever Lauro was kind, attentive and more than helpful. Nothing was too much to ask of him and he always had a smile on his face! 10/10 would definitely recommend!
Angie, our waitress for the afternoon was very friendly, welcoming and professional. She gave us service with a smile too.
The food was very nice, the fish was cooked to perfection and the chips were golden exactly like I like them.

Really nice lovely meal had the trio of fish and apple crumble and they even let me have extra custard with my crumble. Arrived at the beefeater at 4.30pm on the 7th of July lunch menu was still on so got two course meal deal which had steak on the menu which was just a pound extra so think it was 12.95 for two courses

We had a voucher for 50% off main meals so we booked a table. We visited and was greeted by the very friendly staff, from the waitress to the barman. Even though it was Saturday evening we had a choice of tables to sit at. Nice choice on the menu and reasonable prices. Myself and wife chose the half roast chicken, but unfortunately they had no stock. So we opted instead for the smothered chicken melt. The food arrived in good time, was hot and tasted very nice. I had cheesecake and my wife had the apple and blackberry crumble for dessert. Prices were very reasonable and even much better with our 50% off mains voucher. I wouldn't hesitate to give it 5 stars, however what let it down was food left on the floor under the tables. Apart from that it was very good. We will be back.
Iβve been to many Beefeater restaurants and this is up there with the best of them. The service and food were excellent. Some of the desserts were not available but there was still plenty to choose from. Our server Millie was very polite and respectful and everything was delivered swiftly and exactly as ordered. Keep up the good work The Turnpike ππΌ

Great family restaurant. Staff are child friendly and happy to accommodate fussy eaters! Have visited for dinner and breakfast with my 9 and 4 year old. Lots of selection and my girls loved being able to choose for themselves. Would definitely recommend for a child friendly, value for money experience.

Been to this restaurant countless times, and I just can't get enough of it! Staff is always very friendly, the food is amazing, and the price is even better! We often use vouchers to reduce the price, which come from the Beefeater card. I recommend this restaurant to everyone who is thinking of coming here.
