Group of 14 of us stayed had a weekend stay at Northampton and was craving dimsum! This place did not disappoint. The food was decent although would not recommend the Shanghai dumplings as there was no juice inside which was disappointing.

We just had our wedding reception lunch last week. It is a classic Canton/Hong Kong style 12 courses set for a group of 10 people. All the food was delicious, beautifully cooked, presented and served. All our guests are amazed and they enjoy the meal. This is a perfect meal for any ceremonial occasions. This menu is not shown in the book menu or website, it is kept in the front desk. You can ask any senior staff for the information.

Love this place. Walked by it by coincidence and it was one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve tried. They have 2 menus, a British Chinese menu and Authentic Chinese menu. The beef with enoki and bean sprout in chilli oil stock was fantastic. Thank you for a great and surprising meal

Great dim sum and service. I would love to go again as there are so many good options on the menu!

Dim sum has always been top notch, the only negative is that I don't agree with the service charge, I rather them increase the prices on the menu, at least that way you know what your paying for. Last visit I got stung with £18 service charge on top of the bill.

Love this place. I don’t usually visit a restaurant more than twice but we have been coming here about once a month, maybe more for the last five years. Consistently great food. Our favourites are the crispy noodles with char sui, soft shell crab and the tofu. The dim sum menu is also great. The restaurant is always full but they manage to fit us in.

Absolutely beautiful food. We went for the all you can eat menu but we will be coming back very soon for the dim sum. Staff were lovely and friendly and helped us choose what to have.

Good food - had your typical British Chinese dishes, but I recommend trying out some of the Chinese specials as they're great and are full of flavour. The staff were great: polite and helpful.

We skipped the 'all you can eat' in favour of the traditional Chinese dishes (which so few Chinese restaurants actually offer) and we weren't disappointed. It was absolutely delicious. We had squid with garlic, chilli and spring onions and the beef in chilli oil (like a Szechuan pepper stock), and pak choi. It was just perfect! Perfectly seasoned, full of flavour. The beef stock had the light citrus-y touch from the peppercorns. Very happy and I'll be back to get through more of the traditional dishes soon! 4* because a mandatory 10% service charge is added. We were happy with the service we received but I don't think this should be mandatory.

What a fantastic meal. I had a chicken curry one of the best I've had. Friends had a sizzling beef and black bean that looked and smelled great! Washed down with tiger beer. I'd definitely recommend!

Food was of a high quality, also a choice of gluten free options. My daughter and I had chicken and sweet corn soup followed by the three roast meats and boiled rice, one normal and one gluten free. Portion sizes were huge, and very tasty. Staff were very knowledgeable about dietary needs and were extremely helpful and polite, also took the time to advise on how the menu works for the next time we come and visit. Which will be a must for a return visit.

Best chinese in town 🤗 We had our casual family dinner and food was lovely. We ordered mixed starter, crispy duck and few main meals. Everything tasted great, but my sweet and sour prawns are the best I've ever tasted. Food here is to die for, so I would highly recommend to try this place if you haven't already.

Had the all you can eat menu option which was expansive and very good quality/taste. The service needs to be hurried up a bit for lunch. Will definitely be coming back.

The Oriental Garden Chinese Restaurant in Northampton is well worth a visit, it has a relaxed environment and every dish was well cooked and tasty. I did take off 1 star, as some of us didn't eat meat & when we asked what the dishes were as they were brought to us, the waitress just shrugged and said - don't know!
