This coffee shop is downstairs at Northampton railway station (AKA Castle station). It was previously located on St Giles Street. At time of my visit it had only just opened in its new location, so expect things to get even better. The coffee is fantastic, and I suspect all the other drinks are too.

Lovely little Harry Potter themed cafe with great milkshakes and variety of cakes. Has a small choice of toasties. If you fancy a nice lunch filled with sweetness and great atmosphere, this is the place to go 🙂

A cute little place in desperate need of more customers! It has a great fantasy/Harry Potter theme for fans of the series. Great to see a selection of vegan food available. We had a pistachio, chive, and rosewater cake and a vegan 'sausage' roll. Would love to see more of these! Soya milk was available for coffees which was good to see as well. Not sure if extra was charged - hopefully not.

Harry potter themed cafe. Lots of varied hot and cold drinks such as milkshakes and coffees. They had some nice seasonal options such as pumpkin spice and creme brulee. A bit overpriced for what it is, but still a cute spot for coffee.

I don’t know whether this place is still open. It is a hidden gem of Northampton. Step into a world of fantasy. It’s so cozy and the detail inside is absolutely delightful. Friendly staff. The food is beautiful. Love how the food was decorated and displayed. I bought cappuccino and had a mozzarella pesto sandwich, it came with salad and crisps. Good portions, very filling. The sandwich displayed in a basket like in red riding hood and an apple. The cafe interior is like escaping into one of Harry Potter books. Floating candles, jack and the beanstalk, Cinderella's shoe, careful you might end up in my novel sign. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Good value for money. I will definitely be coming here again. And there's parking outside. Don't forget to buy a ticket. I always find eating in a big city, can be intimidating and deciding where to go hard. If you love reading, this place is a great place to go and you'll fit in. It's retro and cool. Everyone please make sure you give the Magic Bean Emporium a chance. For someone like me who lives outside Northampton, this place is a real asset to Northampton. Keep up the great work!

Friendly, reasonable cup of coffee at a reasonable price. Certainly better than the £5 you pay for a warm cup of milky water at the piccolo upstairs.

Nice friendly atmosphere. Lovely cakes which weren't too small !!. Coffee was obviously decent but my americano was a bit weak for my taste but don't let that put you off. It was still a nice place and way way better than the terrible coffee shop chains on the manky high street.

Me and the girlfriend love this place after finding it. Cosy atmosphere, the staff are warm and friendly and the toasties are great, really good bread used. The cake and coffee are all excellent. A place we'll both always use for as long as it's there and I hope it's a very long time.

Great selection of tea, mine came in cast iron tea pot, with wooden board and timer. Very environmentally friendly furniture and nice interior. I loved that they displayed where tea originated from and the shop as well. Cosy and warm with friendly staff.

Another hidden gem! Behind the misted windows lies a coffee shop on a par with other artisan coffee shops in the area. It's fantasy theme combining Harry Potter through to Cinderella and Snow White make it an adventure for all ages. The charm of sandwiches served in picnic baskets with a red gingham check cloth creates an extra layer of fantasy adventure. The cakes look fabulous and the hot chocolate and drinks served in a variety of quirky glasses are very good. Games of Jenga on the tables and a welcoming atmosphere means small children are welcome here. At busy times it can be a bit cramped, but it's long opening hours, and especially Monday opening mean you should be able to find a time which suits.

Amazing food, fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff. If the special is the maple bacon melt, then get it. A pocket sized break from reality, with a mind towards the environment and offers student discount on top.
