Out of all the places I have been to in the UK, this is one of the best steaks by far. The menu is simple. Staff are attentive and service is amazing. Can't go wrong with any dish to be honest. You also get way more food than you expect for the money you pay. Extremely recommended!

This was our first visit. If I was asked to use one word to describe The Smoke Pit it would be "flavourliscious". Every dish was an assult on the taste buds. My husband and I have had the chicken and the pork. Next visit will be the cow! #CowPigChicken

Have been here a couple of times and really enjoyed the food. The menu has expanded over the past months. We shared a couple of the starters; the pretzels with dough balls and the brisket hash. Both were very good, preferred the pretzel dish over the brisket. The brisket is in more of a gravy than BBQ sauce, and has a slightly bitter, smokey taste to it. I would prefer a more sweeter sauce, like the pulled pork is in. The chicken wings are tossed in a hot sauce, though you can request BBQ. We tried an array of their meats, our favourite being the pulled pork. I was disappointed in the brisket as it's no longer sliced but pulled now and as stated the sauce needs working on. The platters are huge and best suited for sharing. Their desserts are really good too, and again ideal for sharing. I had the brownie stack which was amazing. We really enjoyed our meal, however it is on the expensive side. Starters and desserts are £7+, mains start from around £13, £20+ for platters. We ended up taking some of our meat to go. They also have a coke freestyle machine so drinks are unlimited!! They have a selection of steaks I'd like to try next time I'm there. Enjoyable meal. Our server was very friendly but service is a little on the slow side.

The best meal I have had in the U.K. Especially in the North Hampton area. They don't open till 6pm but if you're in the area I definitely recommend it. Service was great and the food came out quick. There is a wide variety of beers to choose from and the art is pretty cool to look at.

If you're looking for a BBQ experience with great size portions, and some funky design work as decoration, look no further than The Smoke Pit. Food is very, very tasty, varied and plentisome too. Staff are super attentive and polite too. Good choice of drinks, ales, cocktails and cocktails on the menu. Advise to book a table ahead of arriving as the place can be very busy, even on a week day. Handily located in the centre of town and lots of other bars nearby Parking only available in neighboring streets, but not too difficult to find. The blue cheese dressing is with the £2 per portion. Mondays is bottomless wings and ribs... So if you're feeling brave and really hungry, give it a go

A Flavorful Journey at The Smoke Pit: A Must-Try BBQ Joint! A remarkable American smokehouse, bar, and BBQ restaurant nestled in the heart of Northampton. From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the authentic ambiance, delicious food, and delightful staff. Our experience was nothing short of outstanding! As avid graffiti fans, we were ecstatic to find the decor at The Smoke Pit to be an absolute work of art. The place truly captures the essence of urban culture, and we couldn't help but admire the skillful graffiti that adorned the walls. The unique and vibrant atmosphere added an extra layer of excitement, earning a perfect 10/10 for its feel and look. The staff at The Smoke Pit were friendly, attentive, and always ready to lend a hand. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and promptly seated. Throughout our meal, the waitstaff made sure we were well taken care of, providing excellent service without intruding on our conversations. Their knowledge about the menu and recommendations made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Now, let's talk about the hot sauce selection! Oh boy, it was a spicy adventure! The Smoke Pit takes their hot sauces seriously, and it's a paradise for heat seekers. Be warned, though: some of those sauces pack quite a punch! We thoroughly enjoyed trying different varieties and discovering new levels of spiciness. It's definitely a challenge for those who dare, but oh so rewarding! Lastly, let's talk about the star of the show—the food! The Smoke Pit truly knows how to deliver mouthwatering BBQ dishes. Each bite was a burst of flavor, perfectly cooked and infused with authentic smokehouse goodness. The meat was tender, succulent, and the portions were generous. From ribs to pulled pork, the food surpassed our expectations, leaving us with satisfied smiles and happy taste buds. It was one point—simply outstanding! In conclusion, The Smoke Pit is a must-visit for any BBQ lover. From the incredible graffiti decor to the friendly and attentive staff, the entire experience was top-notch. Prepare yourself for a fiery adventure with their hot sauce selection, and don't miss out on their phenomenal food. We left The Smoke Pit with full bellies, great memories, and a newfound appreciation for exceptional BBQ. We can't wait to return for another flavorful journey!

Went here last night (Wednesday) and very impressed. Such a large selection to choose from, huge portions, great cocktails and beer - definitely worth the price point although it can seem expensive.

The food tasted AMAZING. I had the ribs & wings. Ribs tasted lovely and smoky. And the wings were spicy and tangy. The environment was great! Quick and friendly service which is the best. Thanks

Absolutely blown away by the quality of this barbecue place. Everything we ate was juicy and tender. The beef short rib is easily the best I've eaten, with a mustard-dill sauce that brought together the smoke and the fat beautifully. Be warned though, it's not for the light of appetite. It came up as two short ribs with a generous amount of meat on each. A short rib dish as a main is usually one rib, and rich enough to be plenty! We (two hungry people) shared this and a Smoke Pit House platter for one and it was too much between us. The cocktail menu is theatre in itself and I wish I'd been able to try a few more because each is different and in its own way fabulous. The rubber ducky is memorable. Staff-wise everything went perfectly smoothly even for a large and chaotic table. They were brilliant from first order to last morsel.

If your looking for a quiet place for a meal this is not for you as it was a great place for going with a crowd as I did the service was great and was not left wait for the next drink very attentive staff.

It can be quite expensive meal out, but the food is banging and the portions are huge so I’d say it’s worth it. The best I’ve had is the ‘Phat Chef Dog’. I asked if they could remove the pulled chicken and add extra mac and cheese - they were happy to and it was absolutely delicious. *The mac and cheese is the best I’ve ever had - definitely recommend getting it, even on its own!

This place was recommended to us ages ago, and we just never got round to going.I booked it for our Valentines date night. We had a platter to share, it was absolutely huge. It was very nice. I had a Candy crush cocktail and my Huband a cider. We were really impressed with this restaurant. And it was clearly very popular. Very nice evening, and very enjoyable.

We love this place. Everything about it is just superb. Tasty, cooked to perfection, the service, the drinks, the music - it's pretty much the whole package - and seriously recommended. The kids love it here too - which means it must be good although we had a kid free night out last night... highlights on our table - 16-hour pulled smoked brisket, Donald Rump, Greek Malaka and the infamous Smoke Pit House Platter. My previous visits here, I've devoured the Ol' Dirty Burger and the #CowPigChicken Burger (not in one go!) Chips, house pickles and sauces are all seriously good. If you're thinking of it, think no more, just do. Music highlights for me this time - Muse, Food Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Sublime on the playlist one after another - so much love for this place.
