The Hopping Hare is in a rather strange position on the outskirts of Northampton surrounded by houses and probably used to be a village location. But don't let that put you off. I managed to book a room in this beautiful pub. We'll when we arrived the exterior is beautiful and the interior is very warm and welcoming.
We stayed in a standard double which was fantastic for what we needed it came with breakfast too.

Birthday celebration meal with 23 people. Arranged food order in advance. Meal served promptly and all food delicious. Everyone really enjoyed the meal. Staff very pleasant and efficient. 2 of the party gluten free and able to order from gluten free menu.
Had dinner here and the food and service were very good. I would have liked more choices for the vegetarian and vegan options and it wasn't clear which dishes were vegetarian/vegan.
Food was amazing as always and have already booked yo go again in September. Our waiting staff member was very attentive but a bit too friendly.
Lovely place beautiful breakfast, but the bedroom 15 was so hot even with the window full open ,the fan was not sufficient for that room it definitely needs air con.
