Nice environment, good place for fine diner, love their daily dessert (sponge cake) and king prawn(starter), highly recommend.
It was 1 year anniversary and I decided to make a reservation to bring my partner and I for a lovely diner night out.
The first impression we had was that we felt really welcomed by Emilia who walked us to our lovely and decorated table. I was impressed by everything they had prepared for us in that special ocasion (photos below)
Trhoughout the whole time , all members of staff were very attentive and caring to make sure we have an excellent time, the food was served within the normal time, an excellent portion size and quality.
We have ordered a 3 course meal and to be frankly honest, we ate a lot. I was not expecting the portion to be such as good as it was. My partner had a risotto with chicken which I tried and liked it (even though I dont like Risotto).
You can tell at first glance when walking in the restaurant, that the atmosphere is really the place you want to be at least for 2 hrs.
Lovelly food, Lovelly service and excellent vibe.
We will definately be back.
Visited for Valentine's Day. Very friendly staff, owner or manager, kept looking over but never actually acknowledged us in any way & just looked at me when I walked in alone. Gorgeous food, can't fault anything. There was a lady photographer taking pictures of our food, she was very nice but it was off putting when trying to have a romantic evening.It killed any romance to be honest, hence score
Went to Sophias by accident as we hadn't booked and just passing.
They were so accommodating and found us a table.
There was live guitar playing and the atmosphere was great.
The food was really good and tasty and staff were excellent.
I wish more restaurants looked after their customers like this place.
Update. May 2022.
I noticed that the review above hadn't been posted yet and was still in draft form. Anyway, we went back to Sophias again yesterday and again the service and food was excellent. No music this time but the atmosphere was great as we're the staff. Can highly recommend the Calezone pizza. Thanks Sophias.
Lovely Italian/Mediterranean restaurant. This was my first visit as it was the for Leaders dinner. Arranging it was smooth and they allocated the upstairs seating area just for us ππ½ the only let down was that one of our servers didn't understand what being a vegan meant and when discussing menu options offered her a lamb dish! Luckily our guest wasn't offended and found it humorous. We were given a different server and the service ran smoothly after that π

We visited Sophias to celebrate our friends 38th wedding anniversary on Thursday. The venue is clean and the decor reflects the ambience they are trying to create. We ordered from a very friendly and helpful waitress - 3 of 'Sophias Mushrooms' and one lamb Souvlaki. The food was presented well and tasted lovely - however I would suggest that the quantity of mushrooms be increased by at least a couple as the mushrooms had all long gone while I was still enjoying the Souvlaki.
Mains were Steak Diane, Fillet steak, Cod, and the Pork - all cooked to perfection and in quantities that compensated for the smaller starters. Excellent! We all had a desert and the two chocolate mousse was divine, the Creme brulee went down well, the chocolate brownie? is unlikley to be a repeat for the recipient but the cheeseboard ( for two ) was outstanding!
Service was good throughout. The only lost star is because we were the only diners in at the time which is a shame as it does reduce the ambience and atmosphere. On a plus side we could all hear each other! We will be back again and hope to see others enjoying the food as well.
First visit on Fri night, what a lovely little restaurant, great food along with everything else, would like to go back .

GO AND EAT THERE...They Slightly adaptedmy order to suit me...BRILLIANT. Nice kind friendly staff. The only thing was there was a group that was a little too noisy but that was not Sophias fault and they moved us to a different table. Want to and will go there again. FOOD WAS GOOD

"Wow factor"found this little gem of a place 5* +. On arrival welcomed by Laura and Jule the Proprieter, the service the food ambience everything about this place is "Perfect" l was absolutely spoilt for choices on the menu.. again the meal was cooked to perfection with flavour. Complrments to the Chefs.. This place should not be missed out. And the Cre'me Bru'lee was exceptionally delicous.. 2 would have been gready.. That's how amazing it was. Thank you Jule Laura chefs, a Amazing restaurant will definatley return.
First time going in Sophia and I was more then impressed from staff to the place taking you to a different part of the world. Service and food was spectacular. Well cooked , good size portions , well presented and fresh seafood cooked to perfection. We will definitely adding it to our go to restaurants and recommend to others.

Wonderful place to eat, searched on Google for a nice place to take my partner and so glad I chose Sophia's.
The waitresses were very attentive and polite with nothing being too much hassle.
The food was fantastic, the meatballs for starters are a must and the lasagne was also amazing and a good portion.
Lovely setting and overall restaurant and we will definitely be visiting again soon.
Great meal. Food was piping hot. Lots to choose from. Excellent staff service. We'll definitely return.
