Only recently started doing food again, but I'm glad they have! I had chorizo hash (spicy) and fillet steak, both excellent. All 9 members of our party enjoyed their meals. Nice hand pulled guest ale, super friendly staff and locals.
As always a wonderful takeaway experience. Food is to die for and the staff are absolutely fab. The pics don’t do the quality of the food justice. Reluctantly suggesting this venue as it is, in my opinion, one of the best kept secrets in North Yorkshire.

Went up to Appleton Wiske for a holiday and this was our local. The bar staff / landlord / family / local residents were all lovely and very welcoming each time we went in. The food is delicious! The prices were not to argue about (we even said they were too low!) Was gutted this was just a holiday
Such a wonderful hidden village pub. The food has been amazing everytime we have been, Sunday lunch, themed nights, steak nights. Always a wonderful atmosphere with friendly locals and accommodating staff. Highly recommend
