Lovely food, just what we needed on a cold December evening! Dog friendly and a range of games to choose from to play after we finished eating.
What a find! Super friendly pub with the best pies Ive ever eaten, quality, fresh food and really great local beers too. Came here on recommendation and wasn't disappointed. It was great that its dog friendly too with treats for them. Not sure why there are negative reviews on here recently as our e
Absolutely love this pub. Really lively atmosphere and staff always friendly. Went in today with eleven walkers after a lovely walk in the area. The menu is purely Pie and Mash but ten pie options served with different mash options and sides, the pies are amazing and so filling!! Check the menu for
We were looking for a dog friendly pub with good food, this smashed it. Dog was allowed anywhere in pub and the pies and puddings were unique and delicious. Fantastic touch to be able to flavour your mash. They were quiet being a Thursday lunchtime so gave us complete table service with a smile. If
We stopped here for some dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how lovely and affordable it was. Dogs were welcome and greeted. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and inexpensive. Shame we aren't local as we would definitely be returning.
Rang last minute after a previous booking let down. Accommodated us, welcome us and our 2 pooches, couldn’t be more welcoming. The giant Yorkshire was amazing and even the dogs had sausages, freshly cooked! Definitely be back! 🩷 thank you
Ed was brilliant, he was left on his own as the chef had called in sick, so he served behind bar and did the meals in the kitchen. Ok we had to wait longer than usual for our meal but it was well worth the wait, delicious, hot food was served. He didn't fluster, even had time to bring water to our t
Service was great ... Pub quiet, but it was midweek . Food had improved markedly from last visit, the pies and sauces being well cooked and very tasty. Also, the option of three sides as a main is definitely worth consideration ..
Wasn't really planning to go here but stopped in on the way home mainly as the pie only concept was interesting. We are so glad we did. Really nice village pub which is very well decorated and nicely kept. The staff were very friendly from the moment we walked in helping choose which beers we should
Visiting last night with my parents and dog, we had a lovely meal. The pub is set in the middle of beautiful Trunch village, the staff were friendly and helpful, very polite and welcoming. The food is great value for money and arrived promptly it was fresh and well presented. We enjoyed our meals an
The food is excellent. Service is friendly and helpful. Reasonable pricing, considering the great quality of the food. Free parking, guest ales, TV and ambient music. Good for drinks or meals. Coffee and cake also available. Highly recommended and will be going back!
A worthy sidetrip from any North Norfolk visit. Great little pub with top notch homemade sausage rolls, sunny outdoor seating. .
A warm welcome on arrival, great choice of beers and nothing seemed to much trouble for the barman. As it was quiz night it got busy as we finished our meal. Great starter (which also can be chosen with 2 others to make a main.) Pies are your choice with a range of mash. We both had something differ
Amazing pies, great beer selection and very friendly staff. Anytime we visit the area we will definitely be going back.
We only had a pint but couldn't have been made more welcome. Lovely stop.
Really lovely and cosy village pub. Good range of beers, friendly and helpful staff. Food was was really good (okay, so it probably wasn’t Michelin star food) but was really good value for money. Lovely surroundings. Definitely recommended!

Fantastic place very welcoming particularly to our dog! Barman was super lovely and the food was the best we've had in ages. Definitely would come again next time we are on holiday in the area
Stopped for a lunch and drink during the beer festival. Live music was great. Very dog friendly. Crispy beef was lovely but unfortunately mac n cheese balls were still cold in the middle but once we raised it we received a brand new and BOILING portion, which is fine. Haven't got around to the pie a
