Often get a delivery from the shop, usually when staying in Preston nearby. Their food is ALWAYS good quality (fish is👌), chips nice and pie is a traditional pastry one, not a Pukka one with suet-style outer. Service always comes within the estimate time and staff are always friendly.
Perhaps it because I am an occasional customer who gets lucky, but cannot fault the establishment's efforts. Anyway, worthy of top marks for good food at a proper takeaway price, not some fancy frills gastro/artisan place trying to disappear up its own backside that some places are becoming.....

Rang ahead yesterday (Thur 26 Oct 23) at lunchtime & one of the staff recommended phoning after 5.30pm to order. Brilliantly planned, my cod & chips arrived well within 45mins & a very generous portion of each, kept hot enough too. Consistently good quality food at a reasonable price, considering the C.O.L. & no doubt price of supply has crept up. Please keep doing what you do well...

Best chips and nice cheese pattie. Not expensive at all. Large chips, 2 patties ,2 large sauces under a tenner .

A close proximity to a friend's house and offers fast and convenient food in the variety of chips and fish.
Local,does deliveries,food properly cooked, fish often cooked whilst you wait,no reheated stuff,husband and wife run shop,plenty choices,good pricing,never had any reason to complain,good location,no parking problems totally recommended
Great chippy, friendly service from the owner, definitely my favourite local chip shop. Pay by cash or card, good lunchtime specials.
I use the the magpie a lot of times as the kids get the chicken nugget meals and they enjoy them also friendly staff, be honest I can't fault them, keep up the good work magpie.
When I lived in the area I used to be a customer. Lovely family. And the fish and chips are 10/10.miss this place
