Recommended booking as it was rammed, even on the Tuesday night we attended. Great selections of different mexican food available on offer. Decent selection of wines, beers and cocktails. Service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was great with a view of the kitchen area too. Will definitely be visiting again.
Came here for a birthday meal. The food was great, reminded me of some of the more authentic Mexican food I've had in the past. My wife and I shared some nachos, asada tacos and carnitas, all of which were very nice. Loads of fresh ingredients and well cooked, beef was lovely and soft in the Carne Asada. Ordered the tray of salsas, they were very well made, one of which was very spicy, made with what I think was habanero and not scotch bonnet which is often a mistake with Mexican, just doesn't provide the right flavour. We also had some cocktails, these were very nice and refreshing too. I'll definitely be back, maybe try the one in Sandyford first as it's a little closer.

Yum! Gorgeous place and great staff made this whole experience brilliant for a birthday (and left me wanting more!).
I had shrimp tostada and steak tortas which were excellent. Lots of fresh flavours. Love crispy nachos and crust fresh bread. Steak and shrimp were cooked to perfection and generous.
Cocktails were also delicious and there was great choice. I had the Shields sunrise and my mates had some special margaritas not on the menu.
Birthday person gets free tequila.

Recently visited Lobo Rojo for a birthday and I can confidently say that it was an incredible experience. The food was simply amazing - every dish was bursting with flavor and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The attention to detail in each dish is evident and the presentation is stunning.
What really made my experience at Lobo Rojo stand out was the exceptional service provided by the staff. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was perfect!
Overall, I cannot recommend Lobo Rojo enough. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are truly exceptional.
Super friendly staff with a very extensive menu, taco Tuesday deal was a lovely bonus for our valentines meal. Some of the best and most flavoursome meatballs I’ve ever had. All accompanied by a delicious unusual white Malbec, can’t recommend this place enough for a date spot and top quality Mexican food! Worth the price

Visited for a late lunch today, having booked a reservation a couple days ago to celebrate my sister receiving her A level results.
The staff are incredibly friendly, and as this was our first time eating here, were more than willing to offer multiple recommendations based on preference and whether we intended to share dishes (which I highly recommend as it allows a lot more variation).
We paired off, and I ended up sharing two taco dishes and a burrito with one other person. For variety, I'd chosen a vegetarian (the mushroom and feta) taco, a meat (chorizo) taco, and a (shell)fish (blackened prawn) burrito, and I can honestly say that the food was superb. My family have already stated that it's to be a new family favourite, and that we'll be stopping there regularly now.
Overall, Lobo Rojo is amazingly inviting, and the staff very welcoming and helpful. It's just as suitable an environment for a lunch out with the ladies as it is for a family dinner, and while the food is a bit of a step away from the norm, I believe there's something for everyone there. Excellent all around, I shall definitely be returning in the future.
This is the best Mexican food I’ve had in ages! My husband and I shared a selection of dishes and we loved it all. The flavours were so fresh and vibrant, especially on the asada steak tostas which was our favourite of the dishes. We also tried the fish tacos and the carnitas tacos, steak quesadilla and the guacamole. All of the dishes were really tasty, good portions for the price and served in a decent time despite the restaurant being fairly busy. The staff were lovely and we really enjoyed our evening here, can’t wait to come back!
What can I say so lucky we got a walk the food and service where amazing staff excellent as well definitely recommend to book as lots of people missed out would definitely recommend and come back

Nice menu. We opted for steak tacos which were lovely but overloaded with coriander . The prawn taco was nice although could have done with more prawns there was 2...6/10
Steak Quesedilla was lovely and cheesy. 8/10
Both chips were lovely but the steak fries again too much coriander. Chilli fries were hot which was good 8/10
The margaritas were awful but the guest beer was great. Good service also. Margs 2/10 guest beer 8/10

We went as a family of four.
The restaurant has a pleasant relaxed atmosphere with a strong Mexican feel to the interior and the music had an upbeat party vibe.
We shared the loaded nachos to start which was delicious. I had the naked El Jefe burrito bowl for my mains with a side of carnitas fries to share. The dish was lovely, great pork. A naked burrito is when they replace the tortilla bread with more salad. I kind of thought there might be something else to replace the tortilla bread like lettuce or tomato for example, but I think I might have just got more onion and fresh coriander mix. So there was a lot of raw onion. Perhaps this is just the Mexican way?
Other mains order by my family included the Mar y tierra naked burrito, the El Jefe burrito wrap and the Tijuana burrito wrap. Unfortunately my daughter was not able to eat the Tijuana burrito wrap because it was too spicy for her. We didn't realize it would be so spicy because there is no indication on the menu and when we asked the waitress, she said she will ask for any spicy sauce to be omitted. The rest of my family loved their dishes.
I also ordered 2 cocktails, a pinocolada and a shields sunrise. Both were lovely, but the pinocolada was so good, I could order it by the bucket full 😏😋😂. We all had churros to finish which were great.
Due to the fun atmosphere, this is a place I would consider revisiting. Next time, I would just have to make sure to ask the waitress for the least spicy dish for my daughter.
Amazing fresh Mexican food! I had the crab tostada to start which was beautiful with plenty of crab meat followed by some tacos to share. Would highly recommend both the chorizo and potato tacos they were beautiful. We then got food envy seeing the table next to us got quesadillas so decided to try the chicken ones to share and it was worth the waddle home!
Delicious food, fab service and a great meal overall. Really enjoyed coming here and will be back!

Mexican food is pretty much always top of my list and these guys have really knocked it out of the park.
The staff are so friendly and super informative when it comes to any queries with the menu. My partner is coeliac and majority of their menu is accommodating to gluten free. Last time we were there, the staff member took the time and went through what is GF and what may contain etc. Something which may sound trivial but is incredibly thoughtful and helpful!
The food is fresh, delicious and so full of flavour. I haven’t had a bad thing on their menu yet. Would highly recommend the tuna tostados and the mole chicken burrito. Great selection of salsas too. Our server told us the pineapple express was insanely hot (something I thought I could handle) when I put almost half on my burrito and realised I made a huge mistake, she gave me a glass of milk without any judgment.
Great drinks menu with a great choice of tequilas!

Absolutely love this place. The vegetarian options are exceptional!!! We eat here every time we visit new castle. The quality and flavours rival top restaurants in London!
First time for us & definitely not the last. The food was terrific with a nice decor & really friendly staff.
Normally I hate restaurants that automatically put a service charge on your bill 😡 but on this occasion I didn’t mind.
