Can't recommend the food and staff enough when we visit my mum, my daughter always insists on going for a meal here. Burgers are fab as are the chips.
A comfortable place to stay. The food was outstanding, the giant chips a great accompaniment to the Whitby scampi and the Full English breakfast a great start to the day. Made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Thank you to Lee and his team x

We moved to the village recently. Popped in with extended family for something to eat. Very welcoming, staff extremely friendly. Went out of the way to accommodate. Reasonable prices & great portion sizes. We have all said we will absolutely visit again. Thank you! Xxxx
Yet again, not disappointed, such a great meal. A pity I have to go back to Aberdeen Sunday, I would be here most Sundays for my lunch. Excellent.

Belated thank you for hosting my daughters christening absolutely everyone who attended said how good the food was - everything was perfect the outside space, the inside rooms, the fantastic food and the hosts, they couldn't have been anymore helpful, nothing was too much trouble and very reasonable on price I wouldn't hesitate to book again or recommend to anyone for all manner of functions - thank you so much for making our day so special we'll be back soon for Sunday lunch xxx
Food absolutely brill. Great service with superb hosts. Would highly recommend a visit. 2 night stay with a delicious breakfast to set you up for the day. Good luck to the hosts Lee, Carol, Mel and Phil. Not forgetting Jodie and the rest of the team.

I've been there before for a pint, but had some burgers today.
Wow those are huge, juicy and tasty. Local butchers meat as well, french fries were crispy and a fresh little red slaw on the side :)
You should all go and try one of those :)
We had a meal here with two of our friends, absolutely delicious, we will definitely be returning. Great food, great portions as well .
We came here for a Pre-Christmas treat for myself, partner and our puppy.
This little Gem more than exceeded expectations! We started off with the 3 for £16 starters (see pictured - Haddock Goujons, King Prawns and Caprese Salad) followed by 2 Suet Beef Pies, and finished off with a home made Chocolate and Caramel Brownie. Each Course was deliciously home made and gets 5 stars from us.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming, with each other aswell which is lovely to see, a Team that treats each other like family. Our main lady was wonderful, she had us feeling like locals in no time! With dogs allowed aswell, you can bring the whole family. Our pup was treated to a little punnet of biscuits as we ate! Which we thought was a lovely touch. But you could see he fancied the beef!
We will definitely be returning to the Gnu Inn to try the Spring/Summer Menu, this is a fine example of how a village pub is run. Thank you for our meal! X
Me and my mum came here for Sunday lunch at the weekend, we were very impressed, it was gorgeous home cooked food. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming will definitely be returning :)

Just been for Sunday lunch for the first time here and it was really really nice ! Huge portions and of meat too even cauliflower cheese came with the lunch and great proper tasting gravy which always makes a Sunday lunch but so many lack doing good gravy !! Good choice of meats we both plumped for loin of pork with stuffing and cracking done to perfection..
Lovely friend staff and owners as well ! Far too full for a pudding but it’s £18 for two courses which is a great price especially in these times so big tick all round and our new fave local …

Lovely Sunday lunch, highly recommend.
We stopped off for dinner, whilst staying local for a hen weekend, and so glad we did. There were 9 of us, we pre booked a week earlier. The staff were so good to us, the food was amazing (and piled high) and all at a reasonable price.
I would definitely recommend and would love to go again, if I am ever in that neck of the woods.
