This place was recommended and didn't disappoint! Very welcoming, amazing food and lovely atmosphere! Quite possibly the best fishermans pie I've ever eaten! Loved the special touch of doggie treats with our after dinner mints once we paid the bill! Really really friendly staff!! Thank you!

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Had seen online that dogs were welcomed but checked before hand anyway and they made sure that I was happy with a booth before just booking me in and dumping me there. Very good selection of food and drinks and all at great prices. A bit more selection on kids mains would be nice but we didn't struggle with the choices. Everyone enjoyed the food, mine was the hotdog (with the red chillies added from the ribs) and it was very nice and messy with too much to hold in the bun which meant I had a lovely mess to mop up with my fries after.

Family friendly and dog friendly pub. Staff very accomodating and food incredibly fresh and tasty. We've been twice now and both times the pub was very busy. You really need to book in advance and you can do this easily through the website. There's option to dine outdoors at the front of the building but furry friends are very welcome so we dined inside. We've tried a few eateries in North Berwick and by far this is the most comfortable, casual and friendly. Prices affordable considering the rise in food costs. They offer good selection on the menu and more importantly a small and large fish option. Booths and tables available. TV showing Sky sports(?). We'll definitely return.

Nice friendly and inviting pub, lots of choice on the menu with daily specials. We went with family on Hogmanay. The person who served us was friendly but unfortunately forgot to take some of our order down or didn't take it down correctly. Not a big deal but a little annoying. The food was usual pub fayre. There's an extensive gin menu and ales on offer. I would visit again.

'Under New Management' and they better give the chef and staff a pay rise... 👍 We have not had a better 'pub grub' meal like this for years, it was amazing! The pub is now focusing on doing meals and has spent a lot making it covid19 safe (see pics). The meals all came piping hot with steam rising from them, which is unusual. The Ship Inn Burger was delicious, in fact near to perfection. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and kept us safe. We used the government scheme but bill for 4 with two courses with drinks would be £80. Please watch as outside tables at front and rear court yards are available to smokers. Highly recommend this restaurant and congratulate the kitchen team for wonderful meals.😁

Busy lunchtime service, and deservedly popular with locals and visitors. Good choice of food on the menu (we ordered main courses which were generous and tasty). The service staff were polite and efficient. First time I've been in for a few years and I think rather nicer than last time. Happy to recommend!

The food was actually very good, super fresh but the service was quite slow (it was fairly busy) Very dog friendly! The only underwhelming dish was the mac n cheese which was really expensive for a super small portion. Delicious but so very small. The fish pie was incredible, the vegetables were cooked perfectly. Fish cakes were also really good! And the fish n chips was one of the best I had in a long time (fresh, light batter and home made mushy peas!!)

Surprise birthday lunch for my mum's bday and the lady who looked after us, Karen was fantastic! Very good at her job - patient, funny, efficient and thoughtful. My niece was delighted when she was given pirate eye patch and ring! My mum thoroughly enjoyed her fish pie "best I've ever had" but unfortunately my father and I were affected by cross contamination when eating gluten free chips.
