We came here for a late lunch, fortunately they opened till 3p.m. We ordered assorted appetizers and a duck salad. The food was good and the staff were friendly. There is more outdoor seating in front of the restaurant.
We were staying in the area and visited the Blacksmiths in June. We had a lovely meal all very well presented and very tasty one at that.The young lady who served us (sorry I didn't get her name ) was chatty and had a laugh with us but was efficient and friendly would certainly recommend
Visited here for a three course meal with a group of friends and it was a bit hit and miss unfortunately.
The breaded brie for starter was great, but thought the venison main was a little bland and the crème brulee appeared split.
The staff were however friendly, and we had a quirky little table/booth. The crackers on the table was also a nice touch and provided some entertainment for the evening.
Delicious good. Probably the best pub food we have had for as long as I can remember. Large portions at reasonable prices. Lovely inside, friendly staff. One star dropped for atmosphere because we thought the car park and general outside area could do with sprucing up.
They NEED more stars!! Never been here before, but came after another pub (not too far away) failed to give what their website promised...a ploughman's lunch. A quick call to The Blacksmiths Inn was met with a "yes we can make one up for you" attitude, it wasn't on the menu yet they went above and beyond to satisfy our wants & needs. Great pub, nice atmosphere, staff really nice and welcoming. Never been here before but certainly will return. Thank you 😊
It's such a nice village pub. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was gorgeous and just the right amount. We will definitely visit here again.
After a trip to visit Rudyard Kipling's Home, we decided to visit this pub for lunch before heading home. It was a great choice! Friendly staff and food was tasty! Nice to have an outdoor seating option, particularly when it is a sunny day! I had the vegetable lasagne and it was packed with flavour. My friend had the red Thai chicken curry and she said it was delicious. Definitely recommend a visit if you're ever in the area!
First visit to the pub tonight. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Good atmosphere, no intrusive music.
We thought the menu was great, with plenty of choice. We chose Pie of the Day (steak & kidney) and Fish 'n' Chips, followed by white chocolate cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding. Decent portion size, not too big. The food was tasty & well presented. We're looking forward to a return visit.
Absolutely stunning in every aspect. Never been disappointed with the food, service or the pricing. You have to try it to really understand just how good the food is! I'd give this place 6 stars if I could.
