Ordered the Easter chip at Easter and it didn't disappoint...was delicious 😋 will definitely be getting again when back on the menu
Have used this chippy mainly ordering by phone and collecting. Usually it's a large order for approximately 12 people. The order will have a mixture of meals - sausages, fish, chicken etc. The order has always been ready at the correct time. Food is hot and enjoyed by all.
On one occasion, the telephone order had been recorded incorrectly but this was easily sorted. Can't fault the service I received.
Definitely the best chippy in our area. Foods always cooked fresh with really generous portion sizes. Staff all really nice and work hard to get your food to you quickly and always warm. I work in a local special needs school and the railway fryer is a firm favourite with all our kids (and staff) on treat days. Keep up the great service!!
First time customer at the Railway Fryer I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the food. The fish was fresh and crispy, the chips were thick and fluffy, and the portions were generous. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was quick and efficient. The food is by far the best! The chips aren’t greasy and they are the best I’ve ever had from a chippy! I ordered a pastie supper and my partner had the fish supper and the batter is lovely and crispy. We will be back. 👍🏻
We order from here very regularly and have never been disappointed. Gorgeous food and great portions. I love their battered sausage supper or chicken burger and chips.

I am a regular at the Railway Fryer and it never fails to please. The food is top quality especially there chicken coujons which are homemade in fresh Batter. I mostly order a chicken coujon meal which is great value for money and I also get a large carton of curry with this in which I buy separate as for myself a wee dip doesn’t always cut it for me. The staff are a great friendly young bunch of people and both the owner and his wife are so down to earth and always chat to me personally and make time for me for a chat and I’m sure they also do it with a lot of customers that visit there chip shop. The staff leave a lasting impression on their customers and make a difference to people’s day as they may live alone and this could be the only person they talk to that day. Top quality service and top quality food.
This is a great chippy. The food is delicious. Fresh cut chips every day and you can tell. Staff have always been very nice and they work very efficiently, especially at peak times so you’re never waiting very long for your order to be ready.
Food always delivered on time and never cold.. the staff are lovely when u r on the phone. The food is absolutely delicious.. never been disappointed with anything we have received.. plenty of different dishes to choose from and plenty of deals.. good value for your money 💵
