Thank you for your time and your hospitality, I felt at home sitting in your garden drinking the best Earl grey tea and vegan black forest cupcake. Mr and Mrs Deli are very kind, compassion and thoughtful poeple and because of who they are I visted the place a lot on my home visit back in Newtown; even bought others along to shared this little lush Deli.. Much gratitude and smiles, see you both in a couple of months.. P.s the pesto is very yummy x

What an amazing place. Dropped in today whilst killing some time before an appointment, saw some great beers which the owner kept behind the counter for me to pick up after my meeting. Upon returning, found two amazing cheeses, another beer I wanted to try and also had a cracking Americano to boot. Both myself and my partner loved the shop and the owner is an exceptionally nice bloke! Looking forward to returning and stocking up in 2016 when next in Newtown!

Great to see a local deli that is passionate about supporting its own Welsh artisan food and drink community. Whether you live in the Severn Valley or are passing through on holiday, I recommend you pop in. You won't receive a warmer welcome! Three packets of delicious Coaltown ground coffee currently winging its way back to London! Diolch yn fawr β˜•οΈ

Called in here on a whim on out holiday. What a find! Run by a very friendly couple who are obviously passionate about what they do. Had coffee and hot chocolate with a raspberry and Chocolate brownie....all delicious! Also bought some bread and cheese which we enjoyed later. Good value and a great 'secret garden' too! Hope to be back one day.

This local deli offers everything....from a warm welcome to superb food and absolute cleanliness. A must if you are in this area. Look on the shelves for some unusual and interesting tastes. The cakes are not only yummy but in a class of their own......and the coffee is divine.

From the moment we set foot in The High Street Deli we were absolutely blown away by the wonderfully personable service and delicious array of treats and drinks. We had toast and jam, coffees and Mrs D's very own raspberry brownies, all of which were excellent. The garden area was very comfortable and welcoming and sharing a few words with other customers was enjoyable too - a really great atmosphere. I learned that the tip we left was being donated to a local mental health charity too - what a great thing Newtown has going for it in The High Street Deli. If I lived 100 miles or so nearer, I'd be spending a lot more time here! Thanks for such an enjoyable visit. I will gladly spread the word of the great work you're doing there.

Oh my gosh! What a gem! The chocolate brownie was amazing, service excellent and very understanding of excitable kids after doing their first park run!! πŸ˜‚ Great range, I could of spent hours trawling the range but went for some vegan kimchi and it has totally lived up to its brilliant review from Mrs Deli. Knowledgeable, friendly, down to earth folk. I might just have to come to Newtown for a special visit again. Doing a fab job Mr & Mrs Deli bravo πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

This not-so-hidden gem on the high street is the absolute highlight of Newtown, the ultimate place for a quick fix of your cheesy needs or a lovely Sunday brunch. The owners are the nicest, friendliest people you'll ever meet, and everthing they offer in their shop has been sourced local, hand-selected and most likely will come with a story. Do not miss out!

Fab place for coffee and quality food run by a friendly and very knowledgeable couple (who served me even though I wandered in after hours - apologies!). Really pleased that they offer a discount for using your own reusable cup for takeaway drinks too. Highly recommended.
