India Gate - Newton Stewart - Photo album

We get takeaway from here often, but decided to eat in as our house is full of builders at the moment. The food was delicious, especially the shared starter. My Biryani was really good, and the service was excellent. We might try the lunchtime buffet next time we are in Newton Stewart.
It’s very difficult to describe this place. The food was nice, but not necessarily exactly as we’d expected the dishes. The staff was friendly. The prices are quite steep, especially compared to take-away. You pay a premium of 100% to be served. And even then they only accept cash, which is especial
Just had a delivery from here, the food wasn't the warmest, but was delicious, would definitely recommend ☺️
Updating from my previous review. I wanted to commend the owners for having redecorated the interior and vastly improved the ambience of the experience of dining in. The employment of additional staff has really helped service when the takeaway and restaurant are both busy The food is excellent - bo
Absolutely lovely Indian restaurant! Friendly and helpful service, generous portions & delicious food! I was also incredibly happy to find that the small amount of European dishes were incredibly tasty too, which is great news for picky eaters!
Everything was really good. We had 3 vegetarian dishes and each had its own flavour... Pakoras delicious...
Food great, but no license for drink and cash only was a bit of an inconvenience so took the shine off things.
Whilst staying on holiday 25 minutes drive away, we fancied an Indian looked on line saw this place, and SO glad we did. We are both originally from Glasgow the curry capital of Scotland, there are many many great takeaways/restaurants there, however we would rank India Gate among the top 3 curries
Excellent food, quick service. Good value.
Well worth the 30 minute wait.the food was first class.and plenty of it I'll definitely be back the lamb madras was just hot enough to bring on a good sweat cured with a nice cold lager and the chicken tikka masala perfect Well done
