To be honest we only stopped because we needed the toilet and were starving after a very long journey... we weren't expecting much....well what a shocker! Charming little place with such a welcoming atmosphere. A pretty blondie girl welcomed us on arrival and answered all our questions with a smile. We had panninis and chips which were delicious. ..melt in your mouth fresh chips made with homegrown potatoes. Was worth the trip just for them. Definitely a little gem this place and well worth a visit :D

Well after a long drive up from the Midlands I was in need of a friendly face to greet me, I certainly got that here with abundance. The staff are so good and it's a cracking little hotel with a wonderful atmosphere. The room is traditional but very warm and clean. And the food is amazing, the best steak I have had in a while ! I really couldn't recommend this place more highly

Stayed in this hotel quite by chance, what a find, the staff were more than helpful, the room was warm and cosy and the reasonably priced meals were spot on. If you are passing Newton Stewart this is the place to stay. Highly Recommended

Just been for fish Friday and what can I say, was amazing and to quote an old Scottish saying. "It went roon yer hert like a hairy worm." My friend and I certainly be back !
