Great place to visit. I've been to a few Beefeaters across the country and had rubbish service. This one is the best so far. Great service friendly staff soon as I walked in strongly recommended 👌

Delicious cooked breakfast and self serve buffet. Started clearing it away just after 10:30am so make sure you go earlier :)

We went here for breakfast and it was a lovely time. Great value big breakfast, with an array of choices to suit both vegetarians and non vegetarians. Children are also eligible for a free breakfast when they eat with an adult. I would definitely recommend them, and they are also disabled friendly with disabled parking and accessible ramps. Excellent.

Went for a lunchtime date after shopping around Newton Abbot. Decided on this Beefeater restaurant The Grandstand. We arrived just after midday and taken to a table. We were offered drinks and given the lunchtime menu. I chose the Steak Sandwich and partner the Chicken Open Sandwich + a starter each. The drinks arrived following not to long after by our starters. I had the Crispy chicken wings with chilli sauce as the blue cheese sauce wasn't available. My partner had the Cauliflower balls. Then not long after we finished our mains arrived. We both had thick chips instead of the skinny fries. Both were very tasty meals and plenty of it for a lunch. The staff were very friendly and round 30 minutes of being there the restaurant filled up. All in £29 for food and drinks and didn't want to eat that evening. No photos as forget to take some.

Whilst I do find the menu a little limited- that is likely because I am staying in the hotel and have eaten here a few times due to the meal deal and I get bored of the same menu!l each night. I won’t mark the place down for that but a more extensive menu would be nice. Staff here have been friendly and kind throughout and they really raise this place to be above the other Beefeater restaurants that I have been to.

Good place to meet friends. Food was good. Staff were friendly and service was good. Toilets were quite a long way away and up a lot of stairs, but they were clean. There was a flickering light at one end which my epileptic friend avoided.

My wife, daughter and I came for 6 meals over our stay at the adjacent Premier Inn. Our food was well cooked on each visit, and the waiting times were quite short even when things were very busy. The front of house staff who looked after us - Lisa, Jamie, Dalton & Keeley - were excellent. Their warmth and helpfulness is what made our visits to the restaurant consistently outstanding. A big, well deserved thanks to you all from the Simpsons!

We came here out of the blue after spotting it across the road from Tesco. We were so hungry we didn't want to wait to cook at home. We are so glad we came! The waiting staff were really humourous, friendly and very knowledgeable about food options and allogies. Sadly the halloumi and onion rings weren't vegatarian as they are fried in the meat oils but ensured no gluten contamination to the chips! So all in all it's understandable and there are still other vegi options to choose from! This setback didn't affect our visit however. Both of us wolfed down the tasty food and enjoyed the unlimited chips. The chef's did a great job and we found it really nice that we could see into the kitchen. The venue has a really nice modern vibe with lots of space and comfortable seats. There's lots of parking at the back but make sure you go off the roundabout towards the racetrack to find it. Brilliant experience!

Insufficient number of front of house staff, who were not following through what they promised. Took the drinks order, then came back for the food order (20 mins later after being asked when the drinks would arrive). They then promised to action the drinks asap, but went off to serve other customers! The steak arrived medium rather than medium rare, perhaps it was as the sirloin was far thinner than normal, but it was changed, my partner's medium fillet was nice but it was med rare. All in all not as good as previous visits, noticeably missing were the inclusive onion rings which were a nice touch. No one came to ask if we wanted extra drinks & we had difficulty getting noticed to pay the bill, we had to go & ask a waitress & then wait a while. As a result we decided to leave without extra drinks or coffee & declined a dessert .
