Highly recommend!
A good stop off if visiting Dartmoor.
Great for breakfast and lunches and anything in-between! Good selection of cakes and savoury pastries.
Lovely farm shop to look around and buy local products.
Very nice looking butchers.
Great for kids, nice play area and areas do run around.
Dogs welcome.
Can get very busy, would advise booking if you want to sit inside.
My partner and I went for a walk to the Moor. This place was close by where we was. After a long walk we were starving and it was 15pm on Sunday.
We asked if they had a table for us and the lady was very welcoming and show us a table. We had Sunday Roast we were not aspecting something so delicious and in big quantity.
We had both beef. The meat was melting in your mouth. The roast potatoes were well cook and tasty and the Yorkshire pudding was so amazing and fresh made in the day. Everything was so nice but I couldn't finish it was quite lots for me.
I highly recommend this place!!
So lovely, had a little walk through the bluebell fields, saw cows, sheep and Alpacas! Had a yummy tea for two with my friend and then sat outside in the sunshine. They also had rabbits and chickens to look at indoors. Really lovely decor in the cafe, bunting everywhere. Local goods to buy and another shop with more beautiful and unique gifts 👏 lovely spot for lunch and plenty to see for children and adults!
Fabulous farm shop and cafe. I had the Big Barm breakfast and didn't eat anything for the rest of the day !! Very pleasant staff, not overbearing or over attentive, but no real waiting around either, they have things just right. If you're in the area and need to eat or just have a coffee, you should pop in
Nice play area for the kids, milk shakes are lovely. We didn't go in the cafe as had to book tables which we didn't know. Bought some belly pork from the butchers there which was beautiful. Nice little shop , would definitely go again , the Grandson loved playing on the tractors in the barn area, couple of rabbits too and some chickens and goats which you can feed. Pic shows view from the shop area .
A really lovely roast dinner. The children's fish and chips was huge and a really nice piece of quality fish. Booking strongly advised, you won't get a table if you just turn up. A small but lovely children's play area and just a 2 minute drive from Haytor. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Really lovely farm shop, can definitely recommend their delicious full English breakfasts! There are about 5 disabled parking spaces close to the front of the main cafe with level access, the front door access is quite steep and can be a bit slippery so if you have a wheelchair I would recommend entering via the exit door to the left as that's totally level. Inside has lots of lovely gifts and food to buy, everything is spaced out with enough room for wheelchairs and push chairs but it can be cramped at Christmas time. The tables are all well laid out in terms of access and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
I love this place, always good cakes & breakfasts. The play park is good for children along with the animals to see. There's goats you can feed (buy the feed in the shop) rabbits, chickens and ducks. Always a lovely experience with friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good to book a table at weekends for meals as they get busy. They do a wonderful Afternoon Tea. Lovely farm shop to buy items too.
We had that Sunday afternoon urge for a cream tea on a summer's day. Thankfully, Ullacombe Farm Café hit the spot perfectly!
I recommend booking in advance if your heart is intent on enjoying the Sunday roast (which looked delicious, I have to say), as all tables inside were reserved. This didn't matter, as there was ample seating outside in the sunshine.
The menu offers an impressive selection of snacks, main meals, and beverages. The cocktail list was intriguing. We opted for the cream tea with mixed scones (one plain, one with fruit) and the bacon, brie and chutney sandwich with an extra pot of Earl Grey. Both were excellent with the scones served with a good amount of jam and cream 😁 and a generous side salad with crisps to accompany the sandwich.
I must say the customer service was excellent. Our order was misunderstood, which was completely my fault. The error was corrected quickly and without question, despite the error being totally mine. I was grateful and impressed by the professionalism shown by the staff
The llamas and goats are the true stars with the huge black pigs being a close second.
Great food and excellent service in a lovely location. Thank you.
Lovely farm shop and cafe. Great food, dog friendly and lots of choice local produce in the shop
