Went tonight for our anniversary. Had the mega mixed grill shared with my wife. And pudding. Would highly recommend going here and will definitely be visiting again. Nice place to visit and the beer selection is fantastic.

After moving back from London a few months ago I was missing a decent craft beer bar until I stumbled into teign cellars on an evening out with a friend, awesome selection of great beers and the barman was spot on, he gave us a taster of a few beers and all were amazing. I will be using the bottle shop in the future aswell saves me buying my beers online and I get to support a local business. So happy to find craft beer in Newton abbot keep it up

A decent pub, a good selection of ales, and an attractive Interior, with a nice display of former pump clips, dotted near the bar.

We booked a table via phone which was very easy to do. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and immediately felt welcome. The food was lovely and the portion sizes were really good, I was definitely full afterwards! I’d recommend Teign Cellars and we would definitely visit again.

Booked a table outside by phone, very quick and easy. Arrived to said table available. We were served at the bar with a smile and some banter. Our food order was delivered to our table promptly and the food was great.

Great selection of Ales. If you like a quality craft ale this is the place. I didn’t eat any food but that did look good.

Loved it. Compact proper pub with better than 'proper pub' type food. Booked a table just to be safe and good job I did. Not a big place but probably 24 or so covers at 8 or so tables. Very comfortable seating at a clean table. Was met by the two really pleasant and genuinely nice bar staff although one was the chef for the night, who were helpful.and very understanding. Really good selection of beers and local ciders but don't be put off. This was not a beer buffs den. I'm sure beer and cider buffs would feel very comfortable but being neither (except they had the legendary Rattler cider on tap), it was good to be able to feel comfortable in a pleasingly compact and cosy environment. Menu was great and is viewable prior to arriving on the website. Although two of us (blokes) ordered three main dishes between us, the donner meat and chips covered in melted cheese with a side of chillie sauce (not ridiculously and lip seemingly hot) was blurred. It came in a skillet and would have been ample as a main dish on its own. Chicken was generous and chips plenty with cheese just hardly lasted long enough to photograph. Not due to small portions but it was just so good. Spicy chicken burger and crispy bacon was superb. With added mayo (came in a bottle with other condiments) it too was really good. Probably a little imagination lacking in the presentation but that was in no way detrimental to the dish itself. Atmosphere was light and good natured. Recommend this place for a not too expensive dinner for groups or couples or mates. Recommend for beer and cider lovers. Outside seating as well AND is dog friendly. All round good evening and deserve these compliments and plaudits. Well done staff, thank you. Update: 25/10/22 Visited again this evening and once.more the staff, chef and atmosphere came.up trump's. Excellent service, friendly and polite. Great food (consistent with previous visit). Totally.recommend as above.

A really nice pub we came with the two dogs felt at ease bringing them ( we go to some dog friendly pubs and have felt un welcome) a fab selection of drinks kids were happy there was a pool table, the staff were very welcoming the guy we were first served by especially. The food was tastey but I will be honest I've had better. Pub was very clean over all apart from the toilets they really do need some attention. The ladies were a bit grubby the toilet brush holder was very dusty to the point it wasn't white anymore, and they need a bit of an update.

I come here fairly often (most Sundays after pool) the pub often varies from extremely quiet (which I love!) To very busy (which I don't.) They have a selection of food on sale (not on Sundays and not open on Mondays) which is actually really tasty! I don't drink alcohol much myself but, from what I'm aware they have a decent selection of standard ales and drinks and a lot of "Real Ales" which is the main pull to this pub for those that come.

Decent craft on offer, clearly understands the need to keep up with the times, unlike a lot of other pubs.

Enjoyed the beer garden and we could park the car nearby too. Good choice of beers, nice and cold. Pleasent service and friendly locals. The bar area is sort of in the middle. Front of pub has tables and chairs in two sections. Going towards the beer garden you go down into a lower area where a pool table is situated. The pub is a short drive to the train station or about a 10 minute walk. If I return to Newton Abbbot, I will definitely pop in, cheers.

We turned up dog in tow and we were made very welcome. There is a lovely atmosphere, the food was delicious (very reasonably priced) and an amazing selection of beers and ciders. We'll be going here again soon and this time I won't be driving.
